Dude that wasnt bad at all. Really interesting take on the Joker. The whole Southern twang deal was creepy as ****. The "God Don't Exist" part was awesome. The ending music worked perfectly as well.
Nice work man

great job. the joker was creepy as **** and not at all cheesy like almost every other fan film ive seen.

I'm going to have to be a Simon Cowell here and say that the joker was absolutely terrible. The southern twank on the joker is just a really bad combination. At some parts it just sounded like a real bad Elvis impersonation. But I've gotta give credit on the overall atmosphere. This short film was a better effort than your first.

i'm not much of a fan of the way i do the joker either but i'm ALL i got for now, i actually rather be behind the camera telling actors what i want... it just works better that way

my first one was sort of a "humph Bored, why not do a joker film." this one i actually put the time in to write a script and get down to the root of the character(s) especially the line "God don't exist" because the joker doesn't believe in some stupid god... and if you didn't notice the main detective mentions a certain "Crane" whacko, awesomeness, and the other detective in the interrogations room is called Dat. Jack Ryder (The Creeper) whoahoh! writings awesome

aahhhh its ok, I appreciate the work put into it atleast. :)

i uploaded the better version onto youtube so now u guys can enjoy

That was one of the most enjoyable fan films I have ever watched. Great job, really original. I loved it. anywhere to download it to AVI?

it was nice...but i wasnt diggin elvis sounding joker....
but it was pretty creepy for a fanfilm:up:

Pretty damn rubbish. The Joker was acted very poorly. And in the comics it's seen that he does believe in some sort of afterlife whereas Batman is the Atheist.

I enjoyed it for being different from every other Batman related fan film. It was its own little film and is good for what it is. Good job!

source it dude!!!! plus go suck father's dick

EDIT: you know i didn't read the part where you said "Batman IS the Atheist" so nevermind your ******ed

i'll admit my joker is pretty bad... heck i hate it
but you have to admit it was a very well thought out short film with good angles and good detectives.
if you hate the film just because a certain character says god doesn't exist then your a pure idiot

source it dude!!!! plus go suck father's dick

You can't take criticism can you?
If you can't handle that you shouldn't post your little film should you?

Stop fishing for compliments and stop double posting too. Honestly, egotism is a very unattractive quality. You called me a ******. And then you try to make everything cool. Here's an idea. Rather than getting hostile try being a little polite about it all. Because right now you come across like a child. An angry litte boy throwing a tantrum because he can't get his way.
As for sourcing what I say? Hmmm, now let's see if I remember this. Gotham County Line I think. On the cover Batman is surrounded by demons/zombies dragging him down. And in the begining there's a little talk between Bats and The Joker on the matter of faith. Which gives you the perspective of both men.
Again, don't be so rude and don't keep fishing for praise. Because that's what you want right? Everybody to say how great it is? And no, the detectives were not good. Mr. Sideburns and weird jacket boy had the taent of a rectal probe.

source it dude!!!! plus go suck father's dick

My lord, you're not going to get anywhere in the industry responding to criticism like that. Being a filmmaker myself, one thing I've learned is that criticism is the best way to learn.

You might learn that, someday.

Way to be a baby. Any artist of any kind who can't take constructive criticism is severely limited in how much better they can get.

There are good things about your film, sure. But when you yourself said that it was made on a whim in the first place, and that you don't like your portrayal of the Joker, which is what most of us will be focusing on, you really shouldn't be so broken up over a little criticism.

I didn't like the Joker. The southern accent was a bad idea. The rest of it was... okay. Maybe next time you could spend a little more time on something you're planning to put before a forum of Bat-fans.

sorry about this guys... didn't mean anything lol i just graduated so i was sort of drunk
sorry if i offended anybody... yeah i did sound like a little baby
but seriously i do value your opinions. i have to read gotham county line for sure now

Also try Arkham Asylum. In that it mentions that The Joker believes he is the incarnation of some Voodoo god.

The thing is, it's actually a pretty good attempt. Great lighting for the interview, great build-up at the beginning, interesting dialogue; it just needs to be cleaned up a little.

We've already gone over the Joker voice; the acting's sub-par in places; the camera-work could be slightly "steadier"; but overall, it's a worthy attempt and you guys can show this people, proudly.

That said, this piece will always receive criticism for A) the overall look of the Joker, and B) the Joker's voice.

So, how do you respond to that? Well, quite simply make the guy playing the Joker play around with different voices and, hell, stick some gel on his hair, if need be, to give off the "messy" look.

The bottom line is that you've got a pretty good script and a basic understanding of lighting and cinematography. This was a good idea that turned out quite well, on-screen. That's the biggest compliment this project can receive, in my humble opinion.

It's up to you to improve.
