Why do they say Ninja Turtle 5?

Also I notice two Leo variants already.

Ad it's actually an "S" that just looks like a five due to the font they used.

Since they're all lined up like that it looks like that's the proportions of the turtles we'll be seeing.

do you think they will do a "Movie Masters" type of line for this or just a basic 3.5 inch figures?

so is the movie going to end up being titled Ninja Turtles as opposed to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?

Their look is really growing on me. And they'll probably look even better in the film.

Looking forward to Ninja Turtle 5... have we seen Splinter yet??

What is the point of promotion? To raise awareness for a films release, if that films release happens and it's successful than one could easily argue that the promotion did it's task perfectly. Of course everything and anything could be 'better' but that doesn't mean one can assert the title of 'mistake' upon a decision. TDK could have had 'better' trailers, whose to say they were actually poor though.

At least TDK actually had trailers, though.

Considering you were the one that responded to my post initially, I'll restate that my post wasn't talking about whether you 'people' are right or wrong. I pointed to the idea that things would change as they always do in this particular situation, period.

As for whether you are right or wrong:
If it's a literal matter of you people simply pointing out the 'fact' that there is no promotion as of this moment than sure, that's an accurate observation.
However if it's a matter of analyzing this promotional technique and coming to the conclusion that it falls into the category of being 'under promoted' that's impossible to say. Stalling has it's benefits as I'm sure you would understand.

I was asking what change you're talking about, specifically. If you mean negative opinions about the lack of promotion will change, I'd say you're only half right. People will no longer say that the film lacks promotion because the film will actually have something at that point, but I think if you ask the same people if promotion should have started earlier, there would be little change in opinion.

Lastly, who was it that said a recent vanilla ice tv commercial generated a ton of buzz...They won't have to worry about awareness once they start this brand is huge and that factors in. Guardians, the first Cap movie don't have the awareness to pull of that vanilla ice commercial and that says something. Between bay's name and fox' face their awareness issues are very different than their competition.
I'll say this in closing, it's about quality not quantity.

That Vanilla Ice commercial created a huge amount of buzz for a commercial about Mac and Cheese. It's not the sort of thing I would compare to the promotion of a multi-million dollar action film. Besides, my entire point when I was discussing that commercial was simply that there's a lot of older TMNT fans out there that still love the turtles, and if people make an effort to appeal to their nostalgia, there's a lot of money to be made. I've yet to see any such efforts on their part, mostly because what little we do know about this film has been heavily altered from the TMNT we're all familiar with.

I was talking about the change that will and always happens, not so much whether you people will be proven wrong or not. And you're wrong, if the marketing started up and it sucked people would continue to talk about the crappy marketing.

You are simply saying "things will change" but again I ask the same question I asked before, what are you saying will change? I made a guess and figured you meant people's opinions about the lack of promotion will change, and you say that's not what you meant, but you didn't clarify what changes you're predicting will happen.

So will this.

You are simply saying "things will change" but again I ask the same question I asked before, what are you saying will change? I already clarified that I meant it simply as that. Right now a majority of talk is about this one all important thing, and in a few weeks it won't even be mentioned(again). This goes beyond direction or a nagging casting. That's all and I was pointing that out cause I've seen it happen time and time again recently.

That being said this other issue of if people will change their minds, that will definitely depend on the approach and quality. Simply having a long campaign or rather the lack there of isn't the mark of a successful campaign. If anything one could argue spending the least and getting the most bang for a buck is the best. No doubt the reason WB stopped paying for Superbowl ads. I'm talking greater picture here and not simply "could there have been more". Time will tell.

I'm not saying everyone will change their minds, in such a way that a great trailer will change the haters minds to stop hating the film. I'm suggesting that if the are are good and everywhere, people will walk away from this thinking the promotion was great in the 'grand scheme'. It might even have people change their minds on just one you need to start promoting a film even the hyper inflated ad budgets these days.

Well, if were allowed to post leaked stuff now then, here is another manip I did.

I was wondering if they were still filming. Turtles in a snowy backdrop. Awesome. :)

Still hate the clothes and armor on them and Raph's do-rag bandana. Love the Turtle Van though.

Yeah, we never did see them in winter in any of these flicks, did we ?

I am starting to get a little worried that the turtles are going to spend the entire movie in search of a restroom where they can take a dump.

Except Donnie. Apparently he went before they left home.

Welp, I guess if you're going to make predictions, it's best to be so vague you couldn't possibly be wrong!

Yeah, we never did see them in winter in any of these flicks, did we ?

In the old script (and this is looking to be a part of the script they kept) the turtles are captured by the Foot at the beginning of the film and taken to a base in a snowy mountainous area. The second act is pretty much focused on them getting back to NYC. This may take place at the beginning of the road trip.

Welp, I guess if you're going to make predictions, it's best to be so vague you couldn't possibly be wrong!

After the heavy promotion kicks up all this talk of bad marketing will fade and not be spoken of again, as has happened with several films in the past when faced with similar conditions. There is nothing vague about that statement.

I'm not in the game of being proven right or wrong. I just like stating my opinions and observations for consumption. Given you were eager to state that: no matter what happens in april, what you said about promotion will still count/be true. I take it you care more about being wrong and such than I do. To each his own.

Like the quality and reception of this film, I try to keep and open mind, I suppose that would qualify a form of vagueness. To that end, I am most certainly never wrong.

Ok, we got our Sin City trailer. A movie that comes out 2 weeks after TMNT. Now it's your turn!
