The Dark Knight New name for Dent (YES, NEW!)

Now, this could be interesting. Another name has popped up in conjunction to Dent, and it’s not one that we’ve heard before. I’m not putting much stock into it at the moment and as a result, I’m going to lay off putting his name out there via BOF. With that said, I’m looking into it and I’ve asked some colleagues to do some digging as well. So if you see a new name here or somewhere else, you’ll know what I was talking about today. I’m still pulling for Eckhart to be Dent though!

I'm out, every eligible candidates been mentioned so far, apart from Nicholas Cage..... No!

Jett does say that it COULD be someone in the fanboy wishlist, just not someone any other site (LR, SHH, BOF, IMDB) has mentioned - i.e. Not Schreiber, Hawke, Phillipe, Norton, Damon, Foxx, Eckhart.

Hmm, I'm saying it's more likely a WB/Nolan joint casting decision (i.e. an award-nominated/winning actor that's HOT right now, and POSSIBLE WB links)..... Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Wahlberg, Leonardo DiCaprio.

It's Mark Whalberg. I know Jett doesn't like people reposting stuff he only says on the forums (what does he expect though?), but he gave away obvious clues there.

At the end of his post, he said "well I guess i'll depart, but keep those good vibrations coming."

Now, "depart" is obviously a clue pointing to the recent movie The Departed, however another clue is the "good vibrations" thing, which as someone pointed out is the title of a song by our friend Marky Mark.

I thoroughly concur. He is the one.

I wouldn't be upset over Whalberg, especially if it's out of him and someone like Shrieber, but i'm not sure if Marky Mark has the credentials for this particular character. Good actor all the same-but if you watch The Yards then both he and Theron are acted off the screen by Phoenix. JP looks like a Dent, and certainly has the acting ability. Infact he has the ability in abundance.

he never said that, he said there was a new name in the mix but that he didn't want to let it out yet, he never said "there may or not be a new candidate"

the only good thing about it is we're at least hearing stuff (sometimes you have to watch what you wish for)....

before Begins...I never knew Ras was going to be in it and I didn't know who was playing Scarecrow...

of course, I didn't really care after the previous 2 Batman films....but now we're hearing all kinds of disinformation that it's probably time to just sit back and wait for something to be confirmed...
