New photage: "I'm the Juggernaut"

Juggernaut also has the abilities on a molecular level that allows him to retain forward momentum...This is how he's able to walk through solid walls without slowing down...

He's "unstoppable"...It's not just a nickname..

OK, that says nothing. But you're preaching to the choir here. I have also read his cerebro files.

Anyway, if he can't merge with the floor, if he has a force field that allows him to break through objects, then why can Kitty phase him through the floor in the first place, without any floor busting open or any destruction with the floor? It happens after she lets go, not while she is pulling him down.

They got it wrong, plain and simple.

I'm having fuzzy flashbacks to that old Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends episode "A Firestar is Born." You know, the one where she goes back to Xavier's mansion to hang out with her old X-Men pals (where Wolverine is Australian!) and subsequently gets into a fight with a version of Juggernaut who mostly just yells "THE POWEEEER OF THE JUGGERNAUT!" over and over and over until he gets his ass handed to him. :)
O..M...G...

I actually remember that episode...Oh jeez..

I did see and hear some cracking in the floor after she left him in there, so it's not like he got stuck in there and the floor stayed magically unaffected by it...

We don't know what's under that floor, we don't know what it's made of and we haven't seen the final shot or possibly any completed SFX (if we want to be technical), so besides what we have seen, there are some things that we don't see that can suspend our belief that there are some things being really messed up under the floor after Juggernaut gets left in there...

I guess it's a good thing I didn't watch that show.

I mean c'mon, Firestar? what a ripoff.

She got introduced into the comics because of that show. I think she even still has her mutant powers after the "decimation."

OOh i remember an episode in which iceman and firestorm were using their powers against each other (without them knowing it I believe), and in the end iceman totally froze firestar. :)

Well, I don't see or hear anything that would explain anything except phasing.
Either way, they got it wrong.

Sorry, they got it wrong.
LOL...I re-read your other post and I found an explanation to what you felt was "wrong" and I would add more, but I can already tell that you've got your mind made up, so I won't waste my time.. :D

Even if you try to explain Juggernaut's abilities to keep himself alive, the fact remains: Kitty is knowingly trying to trap someone mid-solid. If she knew that this killed someone, as an X-Man I doubt she would even do it. So her power obviously doesn't do that in the movies or she would be a very sinister teenager. I doubt the filmmakers even care about power descriptions. They're just trying to make scenes look cool and that's how you do it.

but the accident hasnt happened in the movies, she doesnt know it could kill someone.

Ok, now you're talking about something else... :D

That thought has entered my mind ever since I originally saw the shot, but I don't know what I can say about it...I mean, during this final battle, I don't know how severe the X-Men are taking their actions...

What can be inferred so far is that there will definitely be some killing here and there...I don't know how far Kitty would've gone to actually stop Juggernaut, but all in all, I have had a similar mindset, but it is one that can't be completely swayed to one way or another until I watch the entire sequence...

I've even thought about Lacuna's comments too...Maybe she didn't know? Heh...It's happened a couple times in the comics and in the cartoon with Kitty and Juggernaut too, hasn't it? I think it's one of the things that they can get away with..

It wouldn't be the first time..

That clip only confirms my fears - the line was campy and lame, the outfit is S&M and wrong, and Jones delivery is worse than Domino's Pizza i.e. it came out cold and left me with a stomach ache.

It's the Jugger-not-right.

If you don't like this clip, you must not know who he is.

Shadowcat is inexperienced in the movie. I doubt she even knows HOW her powers work, farless for the whole disrupting electronics and killing people thing. The example Juggernaut showed is not good because she'll probably try that with someone else and end up killing them.

lol...Like I said, they got away with it..and it's not the first time...Sometimes they just need a scene to work for them.

Imagine if it was Storm that tried to wake up Logan in X1...She would've gotten three holes in the lungs and wouldn't have been able to do a damn thing about it.. :D

Come on, it sounds like a Juggernaut parody. Which is not a good sign.

Yea he's dumb, but he's not supposed to be a walking joke.

I think that Jugg's molecular structure is so dense, kitty had to struggle to pull him through the floor; Look how slowly he sank. I think she rethunk it and phased the floor through him instead, not the other way around... so that his body maintained its structure while the floor's was destroyed.

And more importantly. Who could win in a fight. The movie Juggernaut or Abobo from that crappy Double dragon movie?

heh. i enjoyed it. I'm a fan of Vinnie Jones and I think it would have been even cheesier to give him some stereotypical deep voice. Watch Vinnie in his other movies, if anyone has the personality to fit the role of a juggernaught, its him. Unfortunatly for some of you, his voice (being so thickly accented) is a major part of it. It forces us to look at Juggs in a slightly different light, which is fine with me.
