Just saw this at TFW2005.com. Its nothing extraordinary, but it does show that Michael Bay does at least try to make a good move by puching people so hard. Or Shia is a wussy. Well, here it is.

P.S.-There are sequels planned if it does well. Which it most likely will. I can't see anyone really complaining about giant battling robots.

Shia LaBeouf: “I barely made it out of that movie. I was going to a heart specialist; I was having anxiety attacks, losing my mind. And you know, you’re doing physical s**t all day. It’s tough, man. And even Mike at the end, he was like, ‘Look, I know I’m hard on you but you’ll never get this again. If you can go through this with me, you can do anything.’ Sort of like the whole, ‘If you can live in New York you can live anywhere,” type thing. Whatever doesn’t kill you.”
I found this part to be immaturely entertaining. It makes you wonder what Michael Bay really does to his actors. No wonder Ewan McGregor was so happy in SWE3.

Shia looks like he has the right mindset. "It's a ***** but there are worst things"

And just adds more the credit that Bay is a horrible direct in that he doesn't know how to treat the actors and people that work for him. He treats them like ****.

Didn't Sam Raimi do the same thing to Tobey Maguire?

-TNC

And Bruce Cambell

it's different. Raimi is known to be nice to his actors and act as a director should. Just one of his things his to beat his actors up on stunts a bit. Like slamming a book bag into Tobey in SM2. Or having Bruce beat the **** out of himself in Evil Dead 2.

whatever makes the performance better.....

hopefully it gets shia to actually act good

I think its a combination of Bay being a jerk ass and Shia being a lil bit of a punk, but he does get credit for realizing there are worse things out there than getting yelled at:up:

What a whiner though. "I barely made it out of that movie. I was going to a heart specialist; I was having anxiety attacks, losing my mind.". You`d have though he`d just done a tour in nam or something. I understand it can be stressful but really HOW stressful can running around going "aahhh robots!" be?

I could understand if perhaps it was a really deep psychological piece but its transformers its not a role which requires Taxi Driver levels of acting expenditure. Its a fairly average role in a michael bay flick. You run past carefully timed explosions. You kiss the love interest. You pretend to drive a car. You say something macho and run some more as another explosion goes off in the middle distance. Its hardly Touching the Void or the Shining is it?

I mean they filmed LOTR back to back and you didn`t hear the cast on them whining and some of them got teeth knocked out and stuff while just practising fight scenes.

Me thinks someone is a pampered little whiner who is primarily an actor because they would buckle under after two mins of real life. In the old days they used to paint up supporting actors head to toe in lead paint and demand they actually crash a car into something at a fairly high speed. Compared to that i doubt bay`s production is all that terrifying.

Thanks for the entertaining read Zombie-tastic, man that Shia has a potty mouth, still his performance will be interesting to watch. I hope Prime steps on him :D

Transformers will be Shia's "Lord of the Rings", eh?
Even if Transformers doesn't suck and there are two sequels, I doubt very, VERY seriously that it will measure up to LOTR.

I don't think he meant to imply that Transformers will be at the same level as LOTR. Instead I think he was saying that transformers will basically make him more known as an actor, give him financial stability and then he'd be free to do as he likes.

Transformers probably won't be as financially sucessful as LOTR, but it'll most likely be big enough.

I know that it would take a lot of explaining, but lets all hope for Grymlock and CO!!!
Dinobots rule!

Uuh! Lets have CLERKS fun! Hahaha!
I believe that LOTR has it's point, but I think that a trilogy made by a guy who only directed Gore Films (and weren't too good, Troma's were better) can be compared to Transformers.
As a matter of fact, the care they are taking with this movie is FAAAAR way better that they had with LOTR. For example, the complete redesing of the Trans, although not completely faithfull to some, I think it's SUPER COOL. LOTR didn't introduce a new thing in it's hundred hours of footage.
Anyway, lets pray for them not to let us down.

I kinda agree. LOTR didn`t only just hollywood-ize the books and add really very little original elements to the material, but they kept in the bits that didn`t work.

For example, the ghost army in ROTK. Aragorn gets a cursed ghost army to fight for him and reclaim their honor therby freeing them from their curse. So how can they do that if they remain ghosts in battle, they risk no injury. It is an element of the original text that was deeply problematic because as sson as the ghost army turns up the bad guys have no chance. Its like having jesus in lethal weapon 5, the good guys can`t lose.

The ghost army should have reverted to human mortal form and then gone with aragorn to fight. Thereby although they turn the tide it wouldn`t be a forgone conclusion as soon as they turned up. That was the one element of rotk that needed changing.....other than the long winded ending.lol

Hopefully transformers won`t end with a ghost transformer defeating the decepticons. lol.

I heard James Cameron is even worse

I saw an interview about Terminator, Linda Hamilton tells Cameron her leg hurts he just says " oh well thats good it will make the scene more real"

and he's notorious for getting the shot "just perfect"

It's better portrayed in the book. In the movie, the Dead Army basically won the battle for everybody. Rohan's efforts were meaningless in the movie.

In the book, Rohan beats the living **** out of Mordor's armies. So badly, in fact, that the Orcs retreat to the river, hoping that their reinforcements arrived, only to be greeted by Aragorn and an army of immortal soldiers. Even without the Dead, Minas Morgul's army was still getting its ass handed to it.

Shia is actually a decent actor. Watch "The Greatest Game Ever Played". His offscreen dialogue maybe questionable but his acting skills are far better than the Kutcher and his kin.

What a mouth on this kid. Oh, I guess he's trying to shed his Disney image.

lol... even an old lady likes bay...... shias a ***** :(
