Oh it was obnoxious and the series went even worse from that. Im just saying that it had good animation and this has ugly animation, and Peter is imo even more annoying than the already annoying USM Peter

You're right about the animation.
I can get used to the annoying science wiz more-so than the class clown even if it is just mostly in his head or as Spider-Man. USM will always be more of a Deadpool series to me.

Spider-Aziz, I just finished watching the Horizon High episode. Unfortunately, I couldn't respond to it or find any adherent personal points, no matter how hard I tried. This is, yet, another Spidey series without any kind of memorable and exciting intro (they went for their old USM approach again: minimal combined with some odd, brief audio track).
Nice to know.
You don't need to aim your view of an episode my way. :yay:

From what I've seen, USM is better. At least that has better animation, This lacks in writing and visuals.
It really does, and more pleasant art style to look at.

Ahh, yeah...the whole "you're not the intended target audience" excuse. I remember when the creators of the USM cartoon made the same type of statement when they were listening to criticism about the show. As if that somehow lets them off the hook for shoddy quality.

Episodes were okay but it seems like it will pale in comparison to SSM. Lacks that show's energy, vibrancy, and nuance. That being said, we're only two episodes in. Things can get better. It's already off to a better start than USM. Also I'm gonna go against the current here and say that I actually like Otto being a young 15-ish genius. It's an interesting twist that keeps things a little unexpected and fun without sacrificing who that character is.

Part 2 pretty much sold me on this good enough reboot.

It's kind of a BTAS case, every show that came afterward was compared to it, no matter how good or bad the show is. Batman was a better fighter in The Batman, and a better detective in Beware the Batman...

I think comparing it to TSSM is fair, however, saying nothing will beat TSSM, and nothing is better than TSSM is a bit too strong, or maybe its just me

My understanding is one 46 minutes episode on Disney XD, which I'm not allowed to see cause they restricted it out of my country.

So weird this show is off the radar. No where is episode 2 online. Not even on kiss cartoon

It is now, just finished watching both on kiss cartoon
A good start to the series in my opinion, heavy on the science though lol

This is exactly how I feel about these respective shows.

Caught the first two episodes, they were ok given that there's more to come, but I'll give it a chance. Don't necessarily like the idea of Uncle Ben's formula for one the greatest quotes in comics, not to mention Patton Oswalt voice over felt a little unfit maybe I can get use to it. I liked seeing Horizon Labs with Max but yeah there will be so many Spider-Men in this show.

Reaction to episode 1:

Cringe cringe cringe cringe cringe cringe cringe cringe cringe.

Oh hey, homage to the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon.
At least he doesn't insult the guy he just saved this time.

Cringe cringe cringe cringe cringe cringe cringe cringe cringe.

Reaction to episode 2:

More cringe, to a significantly lesser degree.

Dear showrunners: suspension =/= expelling

Peter enters the girls lavatory

And this is the start of Spider-Man needing help from his classmates.

That purple robot clearly is a Spider-Slayer.

Ultimate Spider-Man has a more pleasant pilot.

I haven't watched the 2nd episode yet but as far as the 1st goes, I liked it alright. It didn't grab me as much as the 1st episode of SSM did, but it was enjoyable enough. Nowhere near as annoying as USM (though there were a few Peter was iterating on the edge) with there was a bit for attention to Vulture but I like what they did with him (though I didn't like the Sonic Scream). Overall I'd give it about a 7/10, I think they did enough good to warrant me continuing with the show.
