Comics New X-Men: Academy X

I figure he wants to be able to focus his powers better whether he is hurting or healing someone. I think it is a very good decision by that character. I originally thought he would learn the way of the samurai from Wolvie in order to center himself. The black and gold becoming the whole Yin-Yang relationship of the human psyche.

I bet he wants that knowledge so he can heal people easier

Something that's always bothered me about healers. It's liek they just touch the wounded person and concentrate really hard and say the word "heal" over and over lol. A healer should have extensive knowledge of the body and fix the problem specifically.

Agreed! Kinda unfair that they can just magically touch you (sometimes anywhere!) and poof the injury is gone.

I think he wants it for something other than just healing someone else. Maybe something to do with himself....I dunno. Interesting though.

^Not quite sure. Just the problems he has had lately and the way he "asked" Beast to help him out. Maybe I am just thinking outloud, but the whole thing seems a little, off to me. Just my opinon, no facts.

They're already doing the "morally amibiguous/villainy" routine with Wither.

With Elixir, they had him kill Stryker, the extreme use of his powers, and now attain a kind of "Zen" balance where he can kill, but doesn't want to, and pursues the calling the Laurie said he was best at.

With learning more about the human body; he'll become a more efficient healer.....and killer. :ninja:

Well...as morbid as this may be, Josh could be wanting to acquire all healing knowledge possible to do what Jay (the "original Josh"...who also happened to be a healer...hmmm) couldn't do - revive his girlfriend. He may still be holding onto some possibility that he could bring her back. Watch - after the Mercury Rising there will be a 4-part of Josh rallying up the gang, calling up Dani, digging her up outta the grave, and perfoming a seance.

Just you watch - I so called it.

(PS, anyone else notice how weird it is that there was a Josh, who learned he could heal, but then couldn't save his own dying girlfriend...and then about two years later there was a Josh who could heal, but couldn't save his dying girlfriend...sorry if this was so blatently obvious...truth be told, I don't know why it took me this long for that to click.)

I used to like jay, I used to miss him when he died, but he turned out to be a big ***** :down

Why did Jay's healing powers stop working, again? Oh, that's right, these writers are hacks.

Anyway, maybe we'll luck out, and Josh will find a way to create an artificial X-gene for Dani.

Well that that biotch Wanda comes back, somebody should force her to take that crap back :cmad:

If you ask me, Dr. Strange should be working on one big honkin' reverse spell.

Well, you know, once he's done recovering from his gunshot wound and curing Wong's cancer. Priorities, you know.

I have the first three issues:up: but I haven't read tham yet:(

I like it!!!!!! He feels for his dead friends, and feels he can "heal" them from death. Good stuff.

You know why I like Kyle and Yost? Because when they kill someone they mean it.
