New X-Men #40 - I liked it. It wasn't as good as the previous issue, but it had its moments: shirtles Victor , "evil" Pixie and Santo (Hell yeah!)... I have a feeling the upcoming conclusion will be kick-a$$!

Great issue, I'm really liking this Magik arc.

It's good to see Elixir using his killing powers again and lol at Pixie's souldagger (you can't call that soulsword ). I was surprised by the way X-23 came back (we all knew she was going to come back) only to die again. I'm not really sure if I like Santo's new form but he sure doesn't look like the Thing anymore.
Next issue should be amazing and I just hope we can see all the children freed and fighting

He looks even more ridiculous and dumb, and is only made worse by the fact that the whole change is clearly just another attempt at the writers to ram him down our throats since his last change didn't get the "ZOMG!1! Rockslide's new look is teh buttsecks!" reaction that they were apparently looking for.

I do think two changes so quickly is a bit much but I was all "ZOMG!1! Rockslide's new look is teh buttsecks!" about the last one. This one just made me stare in awe. I think he'd be more widely accepted if they'd make him smarter.

Did I call santo's new form or what? Ok, they really need to stop with him now, though. Although, they are powering up all the characters so far. Now we need Dust to power up, but not really 'cause we know she could kill if she wanted.

Haha, it really was a minor thing. This arc is nothing like Kyle&Yost normally write. I'd def read it.

I don't know. I mean, I know Laura's just gonna come back from it, but these guys really don't know how to write a story without using death. Someone is always dieing or almost dieing in every story arc. I can understand constantly putting these kids in danger, but to have someone either die or get so badly wounded that they might die all the time? That's just ridiculous. And this book won't get a dime from me until these writers either learn how to write without relying on a corpse or hospital bed, or until a new writing team comes along.

Prodigy died and was brought back. X-23 died, was brought back, and died again. Pixie almost died
