Comics New X-Men: Academy X

Awesome issue. With all the new characters that are being fleshed out, I'm not so pissed at Yost and Young for the bus incident. It was still a jacked up thing to do, but their madness is beginning to pay off

1. Elixir's new understanding of his powers is fantastic. Granted, he had to steal all the info from Beast but whatever

2. I didn't know jack squat about Loa before this, but her power looks very intriguing.

3. Nehzno should be called Nezhno. I don't like this "Gentle" business. and Extreme Strength...first of all what is that? and when do we get to see it?

3. I used to hate Pixie, I kinda like he now. She's what Molly from Runaways should be

4. David in that last panel.....wtf?

I really really liked Pixie, she definitely had me laughing. Especially at the hallucinations she gives people. t:

I don't think that anyone is actually gonna call Nezhno "Gentle," that's stupid. And look at when Laurie was in the book- no one ever called her "Wallflower," really.

To those who've been reading New X-Men all along, who were the most prominent members of the team? I'm new to the book (started with this arc) and wondered who were the 'main' characters out of a pretty big cast.

Surge & Hellion have always been main characacters, Elixer was when i was Academy X other than that it seems to always be changing, I'm hoping mercury gets more time in the spotlight soon.

IMO the most prominent members of the team are Hellion and X-23, Surge has been away for some time now.

Elixir, Wallflower, Wind Dancer, Prodigy, Icarus, Surge. That's all you'll ever need to know.

Why must I fool myself into believing all is as it was?

In reality, the main characters are Hellion, Dust, Rockslide, Mercury, Surge, and X-23, with Elixir, Anole, and David close behind. Then you have Pixie, Matchead, Wolfcub, and everyone else. But it's nice to see these 'other kids' step up front too.

If they do save him, I pray to God that it at least makes sense. I don't wanna see Forge pop in out of nowhere with a new invention that acts as an artificial heart.

Grow a new one? He can't make your body do something outside of its capabilities. If that does happen, it'll be completely ridiculous.

Then again, Hulk, Wolverine, Deadpool, and Agent X have all healed back from ridiculous injuries so who knows.

I, for one, hope David is a gonner. But I too feel that Elixer will bring him back. Great art, I loved it. Good story too.

I really liked Pixie - pretty cool character.
