Yes, it is very strange indeed. We should have known something. They are very quiet! Fox should promote Wolverine already and XMFC2 soon! Thats how marvel movies are done! Everyone expecting and talking 2014 marvel movies and they dont even remember theres an X-men movie then. we now know that the second marvel movie was moved and it is closer to XMFC2.
Theres nothing planned for Fox for the comic con, not even for Wolverine...hnn bad feeling!

Yeah wtf? Rothman said we should have X men announcements were coming in summer. They need to start spilling some info.

How can production be slow when it hasn't even started?

I'm sure they are making preparations, we just haven't heard about it yet.

Studios rarely make announcements these days, it all gets leaked from casting agencies - with Deadline, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter all fighting to be the first to phone them up for updates!

Hugh Jackman to arrive in Sydney within the next three weeks to begin filming The Wolverine

GET ready celeb spotters. Hugh Jackman will arrive in Sydney within the next three weeks to begin filming of his upcoming X Men instalment The Wolverine.

The follow-up to Jackman's hugely successful blockbuster X-Men Origins: Wolverine - which took $375 million at the box office - The Wolverine will begin filming at Sydney's Fox Studio's next month and is expected to inject about $80 million into the local economy.


Confidential hears some of the filming will be at outdoor locations - which could prove challenging given the Marvel-produced flick is set mostly in Japan.

However, given Baz Luhrmann transformed parts of Sydney and the Blue Mountains into upstate New York - anything is possible.

The film had previously been scheduled to shoot in Japan. However it's understood those plans were skittled by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.

The film is to be directed by James Mangold (Knight and Day, 3:10 To Yuma) following the decision of previous director Darren Aronofsky (currently shooting Noah with Russell Crowe) to step down.

The first Wolverine was also filmed in Sydney.

Meanwhile, Jackman is reportedly set to splash out $20 million on a luxury base for his family on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula while The Wolverine is in production.
Sydney-born Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness are expected to fly in soon to inspect top-end properties around Mornington and Mt Eliza.

Jackman, 43, will spend most of his time in Sydney though he is expected to visit Melbourne on weekends.

I just know Gackt from some of the songs for Final Fantasy 7 Dirge of cerberus as well as Voices in Final Fantasy 7 Crises Core. Didnt know he was a full on actor.

You know the old saying; 'Be careful what you wish for, it just might happen'?

Yesterday, we found out a major international film will be coming to town to shoot here for two months and I must admit, I got a little excited on this one. All you Hugh Jackman fans, eat your heart out; it's The Wolverine!​

I didn't wish it, it was a flippant, passing comment, so it should not count, but glad it does. Unashamedly, I will be wandering around, camera in hand to get a shot or two of Hugh.​

The Wolverine is due to begin filming in Cronulla in July and August 2012, with the film being released in July 2013. Hugh Jackman plays Logan once again in this $80 million action Sci-Fi and directed by James Mangold. ​

The Wolverine - The Silver Samurai's story line is: Wolverine travels to Japan to train with a samurai warrior. That is it folks, no other information about the film or cast has been released as yet, all very hush, hush, although we do now they will be filming at the northern end of Cronulla and yes Hugh will be there.​
