If he's a POW in WWII at some point, I imagine it'll either span a few decades, or contain flashbacks.

My thinking Is after Wolverine goes to Japan he will have a flashback to World War II In Japan.Of course one possibilty Is there Is prologue set In World War II In Japan
that opens the film.Just like the 1944 scenes of first Class.

I like the concept art photo. Hopefully FOX will release a teaser poster by September or October. Then a teaser trailer by December.

On one of those concept arts pinned on that wall you can see a Nuke going off. Could that be the Hiroshima nuke? If so, there really must be some WWII time in this movie.

But there is something we should not forget about: XOW is taking place in the late 70s (since it is ending with the Three Miles Island incident). That means Wolverine got his adamantium skeleton (thus the adamantium-claws) in 1979. Prior to that he only had the bone-claws.

That means in the scenes which take place in WWII in THE WOLVERINE he is not supposed to have adamantium-claws. It would be another continuity error in the X-Series if Mangold would show Wolverine using his adamantium-claws in WWII.

FOX CONTINUES TO IGNORE CONTINUITY

If i remember correctly, when they leaked the info on The Wolverine months and months ago, they revealed that the movie begins with Wolverine in a cell/prison and a japanese man that saves him promised him to revealed something about his past.

So, if this is correctly, that cell in WWII is the beginning of the movie. So the movie it's set in 1939-1945 or after (1950?). So this will ignore the Victor Creed's relationship, the 1970's events and a lot of other things.

If this is confirmed: wow. Again.

But still, it's kinda silly to start freaking out over things we have no idea about.

The WWII flashbacks could just be Logan remembering the last time he was in Japan.

People shouldn't freak out yet.The movie won't take place entirely In World War II era.This Is eather flashback or opening prologue.

I really dont get it. How hard can it be to come up with a good screenplay? Just stick to the genius Miller/Claremont 1982 mini series. It is all there. Perfect story right there. Why not just adapt that?

There's no Silver Samurai or Viper in that story. Of course, this film can do without Viper.

Jessica Biel is alright as an actress but she's nothing extraordinary. Plus she looks like a goody-good girl to play Viper.

I completely agree. Fox's X-titles have not been that great when translating costumes (or even having any costumes like Origins), I at least want to see the Silver Samurai actually look like a Silver Samurai.

Though I had what I thought was a good idea to have a version of Wolverine's classic red and tan/yellow costume. He could have a set of Samurai armour himself in the movie for the duel with Silver Samurai, but have it done in the style of his costume (which would be a good and plausible opportunity to do his mask right).

I hope they keep this character In opening sequenze and don't have him turnup later In film.I want Wolverine to fight The Silver Samurai,Shingen,Viper,and Ninjas of the hand.
