Still hope Mad Hatter may be a future Batman movie villain.

I think it would be great to see Batman go up against someone who is a techo genius & a match for his inventions.

Maybe in the Batman Vs Superman Mad Hatter could be a good character to use. Joaquin Pheonix as Mad Hatter?

:woot:

Lady Shiva and David Cain. With Cass Cain being rescued and taking in by Bruce. Would be something cool and different.

Mine would be The Riddler take him away from the flamboyant camp approach Carrey did though and make him Batman's more Jigsaw.

I find Christoph Waltz is perfect for Strange. It would gain an audience these days more than Malkovich too since he's red hot right now.
But Malkovich is Red... hot... 2.

I played a lot of Arkham Origins after Christmas and I really want a Black Mask trilogy with him as the lead villain, with some hired guns thrown in the mix like Deathstroke, Deadshot, and maybe Shiva during the trilogy.

An entire trilogy with Black Mask? Meh. He's good for one movie. Even at that, he's better as the supporting villain.

If they wont do a trilogy with the Joker they sure as hell won't do 1 with an obscure character like Black Mask.

In all honestly with the right storyline and scripts, I think it could be very workable. Considering Black Mask is basically one of the forefronts in the Mob and is quite a nasty villain in his own right.

Sure but he's also incredibly one-dimensional. He's an excuse to just have violent scenes with some mobster who wears a mask. I've always liked him, and would like to see him used in a movie. But maybe 1 or 2 movies, as a small recurring character. First movie as a side villain/crimelord. Maybe a 2nd movie cameo.

Beyond that he's a little overrated.

I like that he's what Bruce Wayne could've become if his parents were *******s.

But it only goes so far.

Agreed about Black Mask being one dimensional. He's one of my least favorite villains tbh, he's boring, and pretty generic. Not a fan.

There are so many far superior villains that have yet to be done well on film that deserve to be villains over Black Mask. If i had it my way, Black Mask would stay in the comics.

I want Joker to be the main villain of a new trilogy. I think Heath's death robbed Nolan of the chance to use Joker as a villain in TDKR.

I think it's ******** when people say that Heath's death should keep WB from using Joker again

If there is going to be a new trilogy, Joker needs to be focused on at some point, but still there should be focus on lesser known foes.

If anything, Origins undermines the character. Makes him look weak. I think he works best as a side villain

Joker and Mr Freeze are definitely who I'd want to see most

Another option to my preceding post would be a gangwar film btw. Black Mask, penguin, and Scarface.

Arkham City/Origins Penguin is DEFINITELY the direction to go in if they decide to use him.

Loved him in City especially. So badass. I loved the accent.

Black Mask would be great for an animated trilogy. The Penguin/Black Mask/Falcone mob war with assassins, like Deadshot, Deathstroke, etc etc. That'd be a nice animated movie saga, but big budget, live action... it's too risky and bland for the general audience.

For a big budget movie, Black Mask would be a great secondary villain. But for the primary, you need someone like Joker, Riddler, Mr. Freeze, the Court of Owls. Something like that.

I would use Black Mask's gang as Batman's focus, only to have him find out they're being overseen by The Court of Owls.

Hard to believe there will ever be a Joker to match the one performed by Ledger, @ least in the near future... Yeah I know, people say it all the times about characters and each time they find someone good or very good to portray that character that people feared won't be so good, but Ledger was so outstanding and fitted perfectly to the role, that I just can't imagine someone who could do it AS GREAT as he did!

As for villains I wanna see, well different ones obviously: Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy (obviously NOT in the same movie! :D), Riddler. But I wouldn't mind another take on Catwoman tbh!

Reboots should try to do their own thing, rather than try to outdo the older ones. The Dark Knight's Joker was amazing, but isn't the only way to go with him. If the mindset is that they need a Joker who can do better than Heath Ledger, they're going to fail. What they need to do is focus on being different from Heath Ledger's performance. There are plenty of ways to go with Joker, that won't be compared to Heath at all. That's what they need to go for.

I like the idea of Mr. Freeze as the first villain of the new trilogy with the Court of the Owls as the over-arching Big Bad of the trilogy.

not a bad idea. i think Joker needs to be the over arching big bad though, we were robbed of that when Heath died

Maybe the next joker should be more like the comics joker. Take a different route. And I mean more like the Joker we know from the old days. A bit like Nicholson. Give him a definitive origin this time.

I'm all for that. Harley, permasmile, vat of acid origin, and Joker gas
