NO Donald Blake... and more interesting news!

Stellan as a professor, eh?

I didn't see that coming, either... and I think an official confirmation of his role will be the key for us to know if this second source is legit.

I also wonder
whether Loki killing his "dad" refers to Loki killing Odin or Loki killing Laufey. If it's Odin, I doubt it'll be a permanent "death"

Maybe Loki kills Odin, takes his place on the throne and banishes Thor, stripping him of his Godhood. Then Odin returns, grants Thor his Godhood back, then Thor goes and kicks Loki's ass

I can see that happening, with The Warriors Three and Sif finding a way to bring Odin back

Also interesting is the mention of there being 6 warriors- Thor, Loki, Sif, Fandral, Hogun, Volstagg- but no Balder

Could be true. As others have said: Very intriguing.

Yup, as others have said this is intriguing and shows that this film isn't going to stick completely to comics and try some new things.

This movie is shaping up to be pretty epic and far beyond what Marvel has done so far.

It's interesting...Can't remember where I seen it, but a long time ago, they made a comment where someone from Marvel stated they wanted Thor to be their LOTR. Pretty bold statement, and endeavor. That said, it looks like they are really shooting for the Rainbow (Bridge) on this one.

I hope it works out. Thor and Superman are my favorite heroes, and I was less than mildly pleased with SR, so I'm really hoping my other favorite hero delivers on-screen.

I just really hope that at the least 60-65% of the movie will be in Asgard.

Sounds pretty epic.

Sounds amazing...And Stellan playing a professor makes me remember one of his finest films, Good Will Hunting.

I just hope, (and I'm sure they will) that the door is left open for the sequels to explore other Asgardians like Amora, Skurge, and Balder. Also, If this is true, then I guess all we're waiting for is Colm Feore's role.

I agree 100%. I want this to be an epic film and hopefully do well enough for sequels, with perhaps the third or fourth film dealing with Ragnarok. :word:

Ah I prefer Don Blake being part of this, to tell you the truth. There's just this huge appeal in my opinion to have this guy strike this cane on the ground and transforming into this Norse God. In fact of all super-heroes, Thor's alter ego and use of his secret identity is the one that appeals to me the most.

The thing is people are excepting Thor the thunder god in this movie. I mean i'm pretty sure noone outside the comic fanbase knows who or what Donald Blake is. So it's better to just go with Thor being Thor. If Loki is a Avengers villain they can go with the Ultimates 2 illusion that Thor is a mad scientist with personality disorder issues heh.

Where the hell is all this Loki information? I don't see it in the article, was it taken down or am I just being stupid?
