I've enjoyed the game for what it was, but I haven't played it much. It is basically just the same thing over and over again. Also, the direct route to the centre of the universe, as mapped out by the game, takes me along a path through systems that have already been discovered by another user. So, I have to divert to see undiscovered things. But what if HE diverted too, and I find myself in the same pickle? Mind games, across space and (wasted) time.
 
So I see YouTube is at war with this game being compared unfavorably to Early Access games, Star Citizen and Osiris: New Dawn (Subnautica in Space). I like what I've seen from Osiris, but I'm not sure you can really compare these games.
 
Isn't Star Citizen really popular and generally considered quite good?

yeah I saw thme say that on the space channel in the show inner space with Ajay Fry and Morgan where they state other sources are claiming that the game Osiris: New Dawn will deliver what Noman's sky didn't but sadly what that is fromI keep seeing people on the web come plain about is being to first or from those complain sound like only to discover anything be it an artifact or anything unique. as one player even her state in this thread.


I don't think any game multiplayer or single player experience will be able to deliver this sadly. it's too hard a promise to keep for game. they deliver the exploration but those player's seeking to be the first or only player as an explorer in a game to discovery anything is too hard for game to promise and people shouldn't seek for that in a game.

regardless of this I know this game is in steam early access and they said it's coming to both ps4 and Xbone and maybe more. I didn't put up a thread yet cause my only exposer was this past week via inner space of the space channel ( the Canadian version of the Si-Fi channel from the states )

yes there were alot of event's like darrick smart who''s a studio head but lost alot of studio's him self due to his own workers starting to hate him cause he's an ass hole) and file suit's and he hated through the games industry him self cause of his own attitude and he was dumping on game.

there was also some subscriber that claimed to have given thousands of dollars and filed suit to get it back cause it sounding like he listen to derrick smart and wanted faster results.

then there was the internet stalking and dumping of the female Vp of community management in which she had to shut down her own twitter. (similar how people dumping on the women of ghostbusters the movie but for even stupider reasons)


and there's recent claiming of dev's that were fired claiming Chrs Roberts won't deliver what he claims he tricked every one that funded the project of star citizen which is looking more like disgruntled workers seeking revenge on their former boss .





man i think there's like five account's in all trying to shut down star citizen, in all . But regardless they are showing that star how the development has been it looks like it's progressing along very well.


and I don't think Mark Hamill would still be with this project if this was truly a con job. I'm sure wouldn't want hims name attached if this was the case and allow people to be tricked cause he's linked to the game and his face is and done interview with Chris Robert;s saying how he's part of this game.


it do too much damage to mr. Mark Hamill him self as well.
 
How would this in anyway effect Mark Hamill in a meaningful way. You know, the guy playing Luke Skywalker again?

he was shown side by side with chris roberts in may videos and iterviews is a major part of the game and most people tend to jump on people & actors that close to do things like this .


Cause he's one of the main characters in the game. it's in the thread. I put up most of the articles where he's shown in video with chris Robertd. alot of people no matter what once they see you linked some and it goes down in falmes use it as an excuse to go after you if you had attached you self to a project. it's just jhgow things are. sadly even if your not at fault some people will find a reason try and blame you regardless.


As I said I doubt this will go down badly and mark Hamill won't let himself be pulled into such a thing cause all these people are claiming star citizen is huge scam . I'm sure this is all legit. there just some people just trying to make star citizen go down cause they are just jerk's or had bad event's of their own dealings cause they were former workers and got them selves fired some how and are just stirring up ***** to take it down and it's not working.
 
Even if anyone tries to lay any blame at Hamill's feet, it'd be like throwing pebbles at a mountain. Hamill's star power is gargantuan, fandom and general audiences alike love him to pieces. His involvement with Star Citizen and any controversy around it won't even be a blip on the radar.

I believe you missed my point. I understand his involvement. He is still Mark Hamill, he is still not making the game. Why would there be any legit blow back on Luke Skywalker/the Joker for a video game he didn't make?

there shouldn't and wouldn't be blowback . But some people are plain nuts and can't tell the difference it's what saw recently on someone thinking Geoff K is reviewer and he's never done a review once from what I've seen in the games industry he's always been video game news host and interviewer but has never done a review from what I'ves seen and there other star's well lower rated tv star's that have been caught up in scam 's that shown up in shows like doctor oz it's along arse story there. where almost got int trouble where they were involve(weren't but use it aganst them cause name was used there this whole clear up thing that had to be done ) but were thought to be and just with name linked.

cause some time's they surprise with how many they really are if the are influenced enough , by other's that b* tch enough like major crime has happened.

While this does sometimes happen, how often does it happen without some sort of just cause? Like Colonial Marines or now No Man's Sky.

I stopped counting.; I just don't like it when it happens for really stupid reasons. and people saying they dis like this sperson but they don't know who they are mad at's job and the details of what that supposed person does as job .

how ever with those two games, It's hard to say they fall into that category. I don't think anyone that has been accused of wrong doing, isn't warranted in those case's. I don't remember hearing actor's or actress's being pulled into those case's ether. no mans sky really won't make sense with that. it just the makers and heads of studio's(mostly) in those case's.

I am now curious. I am sure what you are talking about has happened, in fact I remember reading about it in the past, but I can't remember any at the moment. Could you name one or two?

one of them was splinter with jade Raymond which she wasn't the head of the last splinter cell game when iron side left at the time . it was just prior to her becoming the head of that studio.


I think there was something else but I just remember geoff k's that was brought only ina youtube comment area on EPN.tv where they were saying they were happy that he's getting another show via youtube cause he used to host there as his very first job before game trailers tv on spike and some fool comment stated he litterally hated Geoff's guts and every one as asked him there how can you hate Geoff K? and he mistook him for a reviewer.


then again I think you mean dev's in the industry and not reporter's / interviewers that fallow it as well. I think there were other account's of dev's and stuido's but I can't think of any right now. The industry had alot of up heavel for a bit. it's hard to remember.

The No Man’s Sky subreddit was nuked briefly overnight thanks to the frustration of the mods, who say they debated for several hours last night over just what to do with the angry cesspool of negativity that has become the sub. But the head mod who actually locked down the sub, making it private and inaccessible to thousands of users, has contradicted that statement, claiming he did it on his own.


“So I purged the subreddit,” moderator R0ugeW0lf wrote early this morning. “It’s become a hate filled wastehole of no actual discussion. It’s not what we intended it to be and I don’t like providing a platform for hate. I’m sorry to everyone who used the subreddit as intended but you are now in the majority. I’m sure you can find a different place to discuss this game. It’s not hard. This was my decision and mine alone. The other moderators tried to sway my opinion but cynicism got the best of me as usual.”




The sub has since reopened under an actual Reddit admin, Sporkicide, who says R0ugeW0lf is “going to take a break,” while mod The_Music assured readers, “The admins did not seize the subreddit.”

No one could blame you for being just a little bit… apprehensive about the radio silence around No Man’s Sky. After a rather controversial launch wherein the whole multiplayer aspect of the game either didn’t work or was never really there (along with various other hullabaloo, but it’s the online part that we’re worried about), the game’s official communication channels have gone from “eagerly vociferous” to “completely silent.” But all is fine, according to a tweet by Hello Games sound engineer Paul Weir:

It is possible "all is exactly as it seems". Of course how it seems isn't that Sean Murray is too busy working on a patch to send out a tweet (what?) but that he's become such a disliked public figure for his blatant lies that he's hidden himself away in the hopes it'll blow over.
 
I honestly hope Murray never works in the game industry again. I don't hate him, I think he's a *****e who shouldn't be involved with game development. At best he's a snake oil salesman.
