Its likely true. The game is set to come out in less than a month and we have not heard of it going gold yet. When do they plan on manufacturing all those discs and collector's edition packages?

There is plenty of combat in the game. Just equip your ship with guns and start shooting at the other ships. They drop loot.

They haven't mentioned anything about alien races to attack yet. But your main explorer tool is also a gun. If you start destroying protected worlds too much then robots will start attacking you GTA style to try and stop you.

They haven't released tons of info, but there is quite a lot of info out there.

They actually have mentioned alien races to attack. On some planets you'll meet aliens, and the aliens can be either hostiles, neutral, or helpful (and they said you can learn their language and make the neutrals friendly potentially).

meh we'll get them in this beside if this fails there still eve valkyrie which has the whole star fighter blowing a carrier ships engines experience as show here.

BTW I'm a aware VR is involved. but it has the star feel that kind of battle that's all I mean.

I went to my GameStop and asked, they said they got no such info about a delay. Not told to put coming soon on it.. Nothing GameStop stores would get the same packet.. Or the same info in one big email (or physical mail) at the same time. They would all be on the same page.

The guy who runs this store is a friend of mine.. He believes the "leak" was phony. They have received no packets, no emails and the system preorder was not pushed to TBA.. Which if it was delayed, it would have been.

Apparently, this was just posted on the PSN network. The delay was real, Gamestop was wrong, it was true, all of it. New date is August 9th.

I'm still hopeful No Man's Sky will be everything it's hyped to be, and more. That said, I will be waiting a couple of months or more just to see what the word is. Nuts to spending $60 if it does end up being the biggest flop of all time.
