Ok, all kidding aside; I just thought this was worth sharing....i mean; it certainly is no worse than The Gorn from the old Star Trek series....

I thought it was very creative. And, it makes one dream of what could be done by a big studio like Sony with money to spend...

Your thoughts?

It's good to see Raimi returning to a more traditional budget

(I think this costume is awesome/hilarious, and sort of want to be the Lizard for halloween now)

I know! But the guy is asking, like, $1000 bucks for it!

You know, i always figured The Lizard would be totally CGI in a Spidey movie, but i think there's a chance they could actually make a costume for Dylan Baker to wear, for at LEAST a few shots...

The lizard should be a combo of cg and animatronics. However, applied prosthetics for close up transformayion shots would round it up nicely.

They used a surprising amount of practical effects for Venom, who I had originally expected to be completely CG. And I for one was very satisfied with the results, for the most part.

If they can do Venom, they can do the Lizard.

Lol I think the Gorn actually looks better doing a google image search. I'd go the route of CGI for the Lizard...

The Lizard don't have to be completley CGI all the time. Just look at Venom in Spidey3, he had prosthetics and CGI. I think the lizard should have CGI when ever he's fighting, etc. and prosthetics for some shots of the Lizard up close along with other close ups of the Lizard but with animatronics.

I'd go with CGI and maybe anamatronics close up - something like how the raptors were done in JP.

I think if they can do Doc Ock's tentacles in prosthetics and Venom in prosthetics, they can do Lizard. Just don't let him look like the crappy Thing costume in the Fantastic Four movies. I'd suggest a costume that hadded with CGI the facial expressions, perhaps.

Those look pretty cool, a nice throw back to the original looking Lizard in the comics.

I think with a great mix of CGI and prop work, they can make The Lizard look real and terrifying, just like they did with Venom and Doc Oct.

I'm hoping SONY will team up with WETA to do THE LIZARD's visual effects. But I don't know how I'm gonna get these two companies together.

So were these made recently or are they the designs that were made for SM2?

It looks like he's relieved after taking the worlds largest reptilian **** ever.

I think that design would be neat if they tweaked it a little. The small head reminds me of the Lizard from his early appearances in the comics. I'm not opposed to that, but I can;t see him going the whole movie with that torn shirt and stuff lol

Please, we have a SHH photo album where you can post recent pictures of yourself. I think everyone would appreciate if you went there. Thanks a million!
