Nolan loved "Batman" (1989).

B89 ws awesome, however I've never heard Nolan say this. I do remember Bale back in the day saying he really enjoyed the first two Burton Batman flicks. But I've been following Batman movie news mighty cloesly since 1998, and I've never read a single article where Nolan said he "loved Batman 1989."

I mean, obviously he respected it enough to pay homages ... such as: "I'm Batman." When in the shooting script, I personally felt they had a much stronger and more unique piece of dialogue. But there was plenty of nods to B89 during BEGINS.
