Actually, Luke beating Norman up in The Pulse sort of bugged me because Norman was a Spider-Man villain and I actually still cared about Spider-Man back then. It was sort of like, "Well, why doesn't Peter do that every other day, when Norman threatens his family?"

I was glad to see Luke get a revival. Although I do miss the tiara.

Luke Cage is awesome. I'm glad he got a pushed into the limelight. His old Power Man books are comedy gold t:

It was cool that he kicked his ass until he went to norman for help

That did indeed suck. It's not like the FF weren't going to spend all their resources on finding the baby.

I loved how Sue woke everybody the **** up and told them it was time to get to work. Great scene.

I don't see what Norman can do that is beyond the abilities of the superhero community that Luke has backing him.

I don't remember Cap making a deal with him, but I didn't read all of the tie-ins so I'm probably a little out of the loop. But Iron Man definitely did; Kingpin offered him information on the resistance in exchange for a release from prison, but when he realised that he was going to lose favour with his minions because of his deal with Stark, he gave him the location of Hammerhead's gang instead.

I tried to just read Civil War, ASM, and Wolverine, so I missed out on the other (too many) tie-ins; Fantastic Four, Captain America, Iron Man, Frontline, etc.. but the gist of Reed was that he chose the Registration Act over his family, right?

I'm sorry, these events are getting on my nerves now. Both CW and SI had lame endings, and while WWH's ending was good, it resulted in Red Hulk...

What was really weird about the Reed thing was the fact that Authoritative Action had just taken place. Reed took over Latveria because he didn't want Doom to just "rebuild'. It was very Anti-Establishment and then a few months later Reed was Dr. Mengele.

Not only did he choose the SHRA over his family, he did so because his uncle took a stand against the unjust laws of the early Cold War era, which Reed somehow saw as a failure on his uncle part, since he went to jail and died alone. So, basically, Reed was a fascist ass**** for the duration of Marvel's Civil War.
