Who is The Greatest force for good on marvel earth right now..

15 years ago, I wouldn't believe you if you told me the Spider-Man comics I was reading would hardly be in canon at all, the Scarlet Witch was going to make mutants nearly extinct due to her daddy issues, Iron Man was going to lock other superheroes in hidden interdimensional prisons without trial or bail, Speedball would make goths look like Strawberry Shortcake, and Norman Osborn would be running the US military.

Hell, I wouldn't have believed that 5 years ago.

Yeah, well, the very idea of a secret society of high-power heroes reeks of oligarchism, regardless of their intentions. Share information above the table like normal people, for crying out loud. :o

Given their particular situation, world governments might have a problem if they were meeting and uniting with the likes of Wakanda and Namor. :o

Plus, isn't Songbird a villan?

Nope, Songbird was a villain who worked her ass off to reform and become one of the most devoted heroes around. Sort of like Hawkeye.

Isn't Hawkeye more the opposite right now? =/

He was a good guy, now he goes off into extreme temper tantrums, makes rash moves, and thinks all his problems will go away with killing? =/

Plus, how was Arkham Asylum?

She was also supposed to get into a relationship, and get knocked up by Genis who would then kill said offspring in the crib to save the future, but looks like that little plot thread isn't gonna come to fruition.

Ugh, right, Hawkeye sucks now. I tend to limit my exposure to him to his few cameos in Young Avengers material and Captain America, where he's still the super-cool badass he used to be. So Songbird's like Hawkeye from back before Disassembled.

I actually really liked him when he came back during Civil War, where he was dealing with Tony. He still saw the good in Tony's plan, but ultimately decided it wasn't for him, as there was a higher road for him to take (in his mind at least). That was back before killing was the norm for him.

Now it's the norm for him.

Holy crap, what the hell happened to Hawkeye? I thought putting on the Ronin costume was bad, but he's going around killing people freely now?

Solid. Feels like Splinter Cell and Assassin's Creed but with more combat. I was VERY impressed by the demo and thus was suckered (or encouraged, your choice) to buy the Collector's Edition. That Batarang it comes with? Nice. But plastic. PLASTIC. Now if it were Die-Cast metal, I'd be less pissed with myself.

Just beat Bane in a surprisingly difficult fight. Note that I am a notoriously bad gamer. I like how the Riddler gets in your ear for finding his trophies.

Wait....that sounds alot like Carol Danvers getting messed up.

Well, this didn't involve mind control. They just fell in love, had a kid, then one night Genis goes into the babies room and offs the kid cuz he grows up to become a complete *****e.

Urgh...Genis and Songbird? I can see why Zemo was a massive step-up thereafter.

He could try raising the kid to NOT be a *****e.

Who am I kidding? This is Marvel Comics! Heroes stop children from growing up to be bad people by killing them in their cribs all the time.

Well, it was a time travel story, and he was fighting his son, like, 150 years in marvels future or something, and dude was like, immortal by that time, and the only way he could take him down was to decide, then and there, to kill him before he gained immortality, and the only time he could do it, was when he was a kid. :( Fresh off of being crazy, he had to decide to kill his own son and stick to the plan.

This was in his own title right? With his omnipotent "Cosmic Awareness"?

Yep. Still one of my favorite series from the point he goes bats*** crazy to the end.

It's only a shame both Genis and Phyla got so royally f***ed after it ended. But that seems to be the norm for anything Peter David does once he leaves it.

Cosmic Awareness is hardly omnipotent. Hell, the Cosmic Awareness was why he went nuts in the first place.

I disliked the Thunderbolts when they couldn't keep Genis' powers anywhere NEAR constant. lol

Yeah, they really f**ked Genis up. He needs a comeback. I think DnA could do him justice.

I disliked the Thunderbolts when Niceiza clearly didn't even know what the f*** Genis' powers were. "Oh, er, uh, he's gonna go in this cocoon thing and then he'll be able to, like, warp stuff. With portals! And he'll call himself Photon, I guess just to f*** with Monica Rambeau, since the powers I've just described clearly have nothing whatsoever to do with photons. It'll be awesome!" No, Niceiza. You ruined Deadpool for me and then you ruined Genis for me. You're dead to me, sir. DEAD! :cmad:

I dunno, Warlock was supposed to be like this Ultimate being. So far he's as constant as Martian Manhunter in the Justice League cartoon...

J'onn: I'm trying to read his mind...ARGGHHHH!!!

It happens quite alot if you'd notice.

Fix'd. :oldrazz:

Also, it was highly inconsistent. He could easily siphon off energy with no effort against someone who's power comes from being constantly displaced in time, but couldn't teleport someone away because he came from another dimension a few days before. :l
