Nothing Can Stop The Klaw! - Andy Serkis As Ulysses Klaw

Marvel doesn't really seem to be a big fan of bringing back villains unless there is a real personal connection like Loki/Thor or a means to further a plot for the next film like Crossbones. I would think certain baddies like Doom would be a major recurring threat but these other guys not so much.

I think it's a positive actually.

Really wished they had not killed him off.

Very few villains in the MCU have given off the charisma he did. He's the kind of villain I actually want to watch.

First off, amazing movie and amazing cast all around.

While many members of the cast are getting their well deserved accolades, I feel like Andy has been largely left out of the conversation. His turn as Klaue was yet another phenomenal piece to an already phenomenal film. Excellent character and performance. I know he was outshined by MBJ (Oscar buzz anyone?) but I really dug Serkis in this role.

Klaw has a personal connection to Black Panther though.

And in the comics

hasn't he seemingly died many times before? But then he's been brought back. I'm sure most people who know BP were probably expecting and hoping that Klaw would take on his comic appearance and powers.

While I didn't expect to see the classic Kirby Klaw in this movie - I was hoping they would set it up for a future one - basically doing those last three panels from FF53...I guess they still can at some point with some creative story telling...

I know in the comics. But they just didn't establish that in the MCU. He is just some arms dealer selling vibranium on the black market. Given all these MCU films we have gotten they just seem reluctant on bringing back villains with potential. They bring in new nemesis to keep things fresh.

But there is the personal connection in the MCU. He stole from the Wakandans and was on their most wanted list. Didn't he have some crossing with T'Chaka as well in the MCU?

Apparently he been on their radar for 30 years. But its not like he was responsible for anybody's death in their family? When I think personal connection its usually family/friend/love interest related. Its just nothing else there.

Hell yeah he was! I would've liked to see him as the main villain instead of that bland Killmonger.

Even on Crossbones, his return was quick, LOL! I think Doom will be our next Loki. But other than him and likely Magneto whenever this Disney/Fox thing is final, I don't see many other returning MCU villains.

The way I see it:

Klaw in the comics keeps coming back; he can even survive losing his whole ****ing body. Would like to see Klaue keep coming back like Wile E Coyote; loses his arm, shot execution style, who cares, he can eventually become a weird soundwave creature or something.

I pray you are right. Imagine a Doomwars movie with the FF and the X-men...Make it happen Marvel!

yeah it bummed me out a little wanted to see him make his mark on a movie

wonderful job my Andy considering what they gave him to work with

He really had tons of charisma here. Thought he was quite a bit better than in AoU where he was already fine.

Too bad we won’t see him anymore.

There must be a way for him to come back. Klaw was a recurring villain in the comics and always seemed to be permanently defeated and gone, but somehow he always came back. I feel like they've been building up to him since Age of Ultron. They can't leave us hanging now.

The “look I made it rain” line is so funny and yet no one in the theater laughs cause they cannot understand him. That was the only flaw was that the accent was too thick but other than that Serkis is great in this film, and yes I’d love for him to come back.

I could understand him perfectly and I'm pretty sure others where I watched it would have too. London is full of South Africans. They're everywhere. Every other person here is a Saffa.

The way I see it, in the comics, he slowly becomes a villain composed of sound energy due to various experiments he does on himself. In the MCU movies, he gave himself at least one upgrade that we know of, then he got killed, but is quite possibly buried in ground that is rich in vibranium particles....

I was really hoping we would at least see him climbing into the machine that transforms him into Klaw like at the end of FF53...if this is all we get of this classic villain it will be such a waste...

I don't know much about the character's history, nut he had a far, far better showing than Crossbones did.

I could perfectly understand him as well.

My high school chemistry teacher was South African.

well, we'll see what happens..

depending on what happens in Infinity War and the sequel,

[BLACKOUT]there's a chance that one of the infinity stones can be used to resurrect Klaue and possibly give him an upgrade in abilities or turn him into the solid-sound body from the comics.[/BLACKOUT]
