Age of Ultron Guesses on Andy Serkis' character?

I dont know, he hasn't actually ever performed a big role outside those in a suit, and there the lines of performance are really blurry. Will see how he does , he maybe really good, he has the looks at least for the role

I think people are really gonna start to take note of Andy. Dude is the real deal.

Yeah he has performed but he was a supporting character. I saw him in just two films though and he was good in both. I can't remember one but the other was King Kong with Jack Black and directed by Peter Jackson.

I hope he's Klaw. He has the look and Ultron gets the nearly indestructible body made from Vibranium in the movie verse. It would make sense for Klaw to be involved somehow. I don't see BP or the Wakanda Gov helping Ultron. We'll have to wait and see. AS could be anybody though. He may be Baron Mordu for all we know, especially with a Strange film coming up but Klaw is my top guess right now.

The Serkis shot looks like it's in the HYDRA fortress ruins, where Ultron "rescues" Wanda & Pietro. I'm betting that the MCU's take is that Klaw is one of Von Strucker's super-powered "miracles" (and there's probably several of those several mouth-watering easter eggs there, just like in The Collector's menagerie...), and that, as several of you suggest, Klaw will then join Ultron and help him get the vibranium he needs for invincibility.

***Edit: To further reinforce that Serkis is playing Klaw, I'll point out that the IMDB cast list has included Bentley Kalu as "Klaue's Mercenary" for months now. It's also interesting to note the German spelling of "Claw," indicating his nationality.

He's acted plenty outside the mo-cap suits in British film and TV, and the guy is great. No worries in that department.

Isn't he supposed to be Dutch/Belgian? In that case it should be "Klauw", actually.

Hmmmm, Interesting.

Assuming Serkis is Klaw, I'd assume he will be operating some sort of base in Africa (hence the Avengers presence there) and that Ultron will track him down to get vibranium. Klaw could have frequently been obtaining it from Wakanda, which sets it up nicely for the future.

It's hard for me to assume he is anyone but Klaw at this point, even if its not true.

You know, this *could* very well point towards Black Panther being in AOU after all. Not a full-blown role, mind you, just a cameo; and he probably wouldn't join the Avengers until the end of the movie --- or in a later film; and it could be as T'Chaka instead of T'challa. But here's how Marvel could effectively "cheat" BP into the film:

....show Black Panther in costume, but don't take the mask off. That way, *anybody* with a good physique could act as a stand-in/placeholder BP in this movie, while still giving Marvel plenty of time to continue the casting search for the *right* T'challa to be unmasked in a later movie.

It just stands to reason that if Klaw is in this, and vibranium is in this, then it stands to reason that Wakanda is in this, too. (Maybe Marvel has been throwing red herrings about the whole Johannesburg setting --- yeah, it was definitely *filmed* there, but maybe it's supposed to represent Wakanda instead of South Africa, only Marvel doesn't want anyone to know that yet.) And if all the above is true, it also stands to reason that Black Panther plays a small role.

Yeah, I'd say he's most def playing Klaw

whether BP will be in the film, IDK, but it would be great
but yeah, Wakanda and Klaw are 100% at this point

Also, its hard to see but in the frame right before Serkis's appearance, one of the ships is named Zanzibar, which is a country not too far from Marvels Wakanda location

The IMDB cast lists several extras playing "Somali sailors" (pirates?).

I'm wondering what the hell the deal is with those ships anyway. The WHOLE FRICKIN' HARBOR has been apparently drained there. I don't think even Ultron can do something like that. (I've got this weird theory that it's some kind of Wakanda tech --- maybe T'chaka/T'challa have a way to remotely drain the harbor as a defense mechanism against pirate raids. :oldrazz: )

So Klaw could be a 'pirate', stealing Vibranium from Wakanda

Until Ultron arrives and takes it all

Good guess.
That would probably explain Klaw's "oh ****" look, as Ultron decides to pay him a visit in the mines.

So will Serkis be doing a Star Wars type voice for Klaw?

I always thought Klaw sounded more crazy than that later on though. In Star Wars, he sounds like he could be a more serious threat if he had that voice for Klaw. It's very Cumberbatch-ish.

I'm South African, and Serkis does a VERY good
Afrikaner-speaking-English accent here as Klaw - bloody good. A small role, hope we see more of him in a BP film!
