Transformers Novel and Comic Prequels

I just saw this on TFW2005.com. It seems interesting, and I will definitely pick up the comics, I am not to sure about the book though. Both are named Prime Directive, which sounds cool.

Has anyone reas the other books mentioned in the article? Are they worth a read?
