McCain could still take the popular vote. Many americans don't want to go back to the Clinton era.

The Clinton era was when things were going quite nicely for this country, why the hell wouldn't we want to go back to something like that? Especially after the past 8 years?

In honor of the CNN Star Wars hologram:

"This will be a day long remembered, it has seen the end of the McCain campaign, and will soon see the end of the Bush presidency."

i'd give anything to be in chicago right now

voting iz cool:

It's VERY effed up. It's pathetic. Anyone who wishes a president, whether you voted/supported him or not, to fail is unpatriotic. In fact they hate this country. If they fail, WE fail! That's what happened with Bush. Bush ****ed up BIG time and now OUR credibility, AS A WHOLE, with the world has suffered.

So for all you con McNugget supporters wishing for Obama to fail need to get your priorities straight.

I'm SOOOOO sick of people wishing for a president to fail. What the hell is that? What does that say about the state of the Union, the moral of our people?

If McCain ends up winning this thing (and even though I disagree with him), I hope he does a GREAT job. If Obama wins, and I pray to heaven that he does, I hope he does a great job.

I agree, some ppl treat it like a game. That if their team doesn't win they wish injury or a loss down the road to the team that beat them. When in reality his failure would boil over and burn the rest of us.

I'm delighted to see Obama win, as it seems he will. It will definitely send a positive message about the USA to the rest of the world, and considering the damage the Bush presidency has done to US inernational relations, that can only be a good thing. Let's hope he can deliver on the promise.

I could be wrong, but I think it's a pretty clear win for Obama. Right now I'm not looking at who's going to win, but by how much Obama is going to win. This holds an even deeper meaning because Obama is turning undecided states blue, and making deep red states split (and in the case of my home Indiana, possible blue). Also Dem's have picked up several seats as well.

Even tho Obama will have a near impossible task with the economy, if he steers it in the right direction he can possibly become a popular president (especially following an all time unpopular Bush). It's very possible we could see the map painted differently in future elections because of this one. Especially if he is popular in the first term, and then faces someone like Palin in 2012 and turns more states blue, or even further blue.

We're seeing ppl who wouldn't think of voting dem walking out of the booth pulling the Obama lever. I think in the long run this is pretty significant.

Ha. Campbell Brown just called John King Obi Wan :)

The stock market is going to go through the roof tomorrow. Every time Obama was on TV during trading hours throughout this campaign, you would see it climb. Every time Bush/McCain came on TV, it would crash 200-300 points.

CNN is cracking me up with this hologram/3D display thing. I'm damn near expecting Robert Downey, Jr. to stroll across the screen at some point and start tweaking the Mark III armor. :im:

I was born in 83, so would have been 9 when Clinton got elected. I honestly look back at the Clinton years with fondness. He was a likeable president, our economy seemed stable, we weren't constantly at war. I honestly liked that era. Maybe it was because it started when I was young and I grew up with it, but it mystifies me when after 8 years of Bush ppl can talk like the Clinton years were horrible.
