This year was year of summer movies, so inNovember and December there will be movies with less action.

There are:

Casino Royale - Nov. 17th

Happy Feet - Nov. 17th

Bobby - Nov. 22th

Apocalypto - Dec. 8th

Eragon - Dec. 15th

Charlotte's Web - Dec. 20th

Night at the Museum - Dec. 22th

Rocky Balboa - Dec. 22th

So which movie will be #1?

dont really care, but Casino and Apocalypto are the only ones i'm looking forward to

Casino Royale
Opening Day: $14m
Opening Weekend: $42m
Domestic: $147m
Foreign: $275m
Worldwide: $412m

Happy Feet
Opening Day: $16m
Opening Weekend: $55m
Domestic: $174m
Foreign: $189m
Worldwide: $363m

Apocalypto
Opening Day: $7m
Opening Weekend: $22m
Domestic: $59m
Foreign: $32m
Worldwide: $81m

Eragon
Opening Day: $14m
Opening Weekend: $45m
Domestic: $132m
Foreign: $157m
Worldwide: $289m

Charlotte's Web
Opening Day: $16m
Opening Weekend: $50m
Domestic: $147m
Foreign: $166m
Worldwide: $313m

Night at the Museum
Opening Day: $20m
Opening Weekend: $61m

Foreign: $230m
Worldwide: $423m

Rocky Balboa

Foreign: $23m

So i think Night at the Museum will be #1.

I think Night at the Museum will be #1 with Charlottes Web second

Hmm, lot of movies with potential of doing really good at the box office, but it's hard to see a clear winner with no Harry Potter, LOTR or something like that. But I take a chance and say that starving fantasy-fans might make Eragon number one out of these, since it's also based on a quite popular novel.

Should also be interesting to see how people reacts to the new James Bond. They tried this "back to the roots" and more realistic approach with Timothy Dalton and it wasn't a success then, but maybe the time is right now for a more realistic Bond? Who knows...

Well, I doubt Eragon will be huge.

It has poor marketing and it doesn't just look right.

Apocalypto, Bobby, and Casino Royale are the only ones I am excited for.

And what the hell is Eragon?
Another fantasy movie that has dragons in it?

Yep.

I think Night at the Museum will be final winner.

It is family movie comedy with fantastic aspects and amazing cast.

Besides, other movies looks none-hits of December.

Casino Royale and Rocky Balboa are the only ones I'm looking forward too.

I think it'll be a battle between word of mouth and hype.Casino royal, museum and charlottes web will open big,but I think Rocky's word of mouth will come thru

Why do so many of those movies look ****ty?

Where are the films adults can go to?

Well, Rocky 6, Night at the Museum, Happy Feet and Casino Royale looks good to me.

^^ you're not even one.

I never implied I was.

But this is November and December, when there is normally a rush of Academy Award material. Where are these films?

You want them?

Ok, Hollywoodland will be released in September.

The Prestige, The Departed and The Fountain will be released in October.

And Apocalypto will be released in December.

Ok.

I didn't think The Prestige, The Fountain or Apocalypta were Academy calibre, and Hollywoodland looks a little arthouse to me. Plus, Scorsese doesn't exactly have a great track record with the Academy, plus it's not being marketed very well.

Well, at least the can have nominations.

And... you are hard to please

The only other movie I'm looking forward to this year is Saw 3. 2007 can't come soon enough! :(

The Fountain is coming out in Nov.?
It might be huge because it has two bankable stars that can actually act.
The first trailer was amazing, and I can't wait to see it.
and JLBats, have you not heard the buzz for it, it IS oscar worthy.
But my vote is for Casino Royale as the big movie of Nov., with Eragon behind it (It will appeal to the Harry Potter and LOTR crowd, as well as kids who have read the books).

Well, actually, The Fountain will be released in October.

And it has poor marketing, so I doubt it will make more than $50m.

How do you come to that conclusion? The movie isn't being released for several months.
