that comment is actually arguably crap. No one ever said love at first site was meant to be forever.

The first time I visited the Hype, it was love at first site.


Anyway, I never said that I had a problem with romance, grand gestures of affection or the concept of happily-ever-after. I'm totally fine with all that stuff. I've had some great relationships and I've been married, so I know how all that works (to the extent that any man really knows, that is).

However, I've also experienced the fleeting nature of love-at-first-sight enough times to not take it seriously.

Wow! I'm in love! ...then she speaks.... Meh, not in love.

Wow! I'm in love! ...then her husband walks up... Oops, not in love.

Wow! I'm in love! ...she gets off the train too soon, but an even more amazing woman gets on ... Wow! I'm in love!
