I think Majora's Mask nailed my favourite thing about any Zelda game, followed closely by Ocarina. It was that feeling of being able to 'change' the world that I have always loved in the Zelda games. Like when you encounter a sleeping Malon's dad and you need to figure out how to solve it... Or finding an obstacle and knowing that somewhere there is a song or mask that is perfect for that situation but you need to figure out what it is.
It's things like this that I feel have been severely lacking from later Zelda games. There are either not enough of puzzles like this or the ones that are there are so obvious and hand holding that it may as well not be a puzzle at all.

I liked Windwaker. Its style suited Zelda very well. But I do prefer the look of OOT/MM and TP.
