Agreed on everything.I know everyone around here ignores the Mavs except when they're losing or struggling. However, as a fan of Dallas, I am quite disgusted to see them show such a lack of effort on the defensive and offensive end of the game.
They cannot afford to be messing around and become lazy on defense, offense, and intensity. This team has been lacking something important ever since they acquired Kidd and this is something that has happened to them EVERYTIME they make a trade. I'm almost in the mindset that they need to tank this season, let Kidd, Terry, Howard, Dampier, and Dirk rest so they can come back more focused and are used to Kidd.
This is truly pathetic and I'm disappointed in them as a fan.
I give up on them. Until we get a new coach, we won't accomplish anything.
And it is Avery's fault. It really is.
Hmm... I really don't see anything that Mark Cuban has done wrong. Besides complaining all the damn timeI won't say it's the coaches fault. I'll say that Mark Cuban needs to go because he doesn't have an understanding of basketball and is more interested in making them an offensive team rather than a combination of defense/offense.
We need an owner who understands basketball and understands the importance of a great team that has the talent to win a championship. Avery got us to a championship, but our own lack of desire and not hitting shots costs us the big dance. Do I still believe that some of the games were fixed? I do believe the officials gave Miami some gimmie calls, but in the end, we beat ourselves and we're constantly beating ourselves because we're too complacent.
It's time for a change in the front office and Cuban needs to go. We need someone like a Jerry West, Joe Dumars, or a Larry Brown as a GM when understands the game and respects the game.

the funny thing is the Lakers have lost 4 of their last 5 meetings against the Bobcats
I had an Iverson jersey from the Sixers 01 finals run. Not sure what i did with it.
I still have a Kobe jersey, but it's #8 so i never wear it.
agreedWithout Gasol, the Lakers just seem to be a bad matchup to the Bobcats. It probably has to do with the playing styles. Phoenix and Golden State (both fast break offensive teams) always come up short when playing Minnesota. Pretty weird. If you want to beat elite teams, study the "bottom feeders."![]()
yes sirWouldn't his #8 jersey still be special since he won 3 rings with it hmm?

Celtics have beaten every NBA team at least once this season.![]()
he played real good, the team just needs to play better D, they gave up 114 to themWow with Kobe scoring 53...and then losing to Memphis, can that give people more reason to give the MVP to someone else? Isn't 53 like the highest point total for a player this season?

Avery is a great coach. But, I think Avery is one of those coaches who can only coach a team for a couple years and do really well, then starts losing a ton of games and eventually gets fired, then goes to a new team and coaches them very well, but gets fired, and it continues. And the reason for this is Avery's personality. His personality can eat on people until they can't take it anymore. He's too controlling... probably because of his experience as a point guard. J Kidd's only been here for a couple months now and I can already tell he's sick of Avery.Avery is a brilliant coach. Fastest to 100 coaching wins, an .800 coach his first four years, and 67 wins last year (despite a playoff upset). Sure they're struggling right now (hard to beat last year's season, you can only go down). Psychologically and on the defensive end, the Mavs are having issues but Avery will find a way to turn this team around. And I don't even like the Mavericks.
