So you're using the "we're not 100%" excuse as to why you're losing? :whatever:
Not at all, the Lakers came this far without him, i know they still have a chance to win the Championship without Bynum. I meant to say that the Lakers are going to get even better with him coming back next season

Translation: "Oh, boo hoo. My favorite team, who has gone 3-12 in their last 15 playoff games (including perhaps the biggest collapse and biggest upset in league history), lost in the Finals. It's not the team, it's the Evil Commissioner and his schemes. I don't care if it is two years after the fact, Kleenex can't make enough product to console me." :waa:

Fact of the matter is your club has had many questions thrown at them regarding the legitimacy of their 2006 championship. It is by far one of their most controversial wins, right up there with the Los Angeles 2002 championship run after they beat Sacramento to complete their three peat.

I am not as intense about it as I used to be, however, I still believe shady officiating was involved. But I also understand that we have a tendency of choking away big games and we've proven again for the last two years.

Did anyone actually ever get around to forming a legitimate reason why Pierce would feign any injury, only to come back shortly thereafter, or am I simply asking for a little too much reason in the midst of more 'conspiratorial' bull****?

edit: I can't possibly see how the above reference could be part of any possible conspiracy, but that's the buzzword.

:lmao: yup it's funny how LastSunrise says to me that i think the Lakers aren't doing good cuz of Bynum. He was the one who brought up " shady officiating " :hehe:

It's just the fans excuse as to why they lost. Them crying about it just makes them look childish.

but anyway...

$tern has his moments... lets just hope these ratings are good enough to make this year a series :woot:

LastSunrise ripping the lakers and all there fans like crazy. Lakers down 2 games to none. See what happens in LA. LA better show up like its game 7.

exactly DR

The Lakers 2002 championship itself wasn't a question mark seeing as they did punk out the Nets. Perhaps I should've said their 2002 WCF series against Sacramento was one of the most controversial and still is regarded as a series that was rigged. It doesn't help that Sacramento choked in Game 7, but many analysts who covered the series felt it shouldn't have went to a Game 7.

As for Miami/Dallas? Like I said, I believe shady officiating happened to the point that we couldn't overcome it. But at the same time we still choked the championship away and gave it to Miami in the process. We didn't play like we wanted it and great teams overcome shady officiating.

But I did love watching Miami suffer into the endless abyss of the basement this year though. :yay:

'Tis better to have won it all and be crap in subsequent years than to have 8 consecutive 50 win seasons and not have jack to show for it other than coulda/woulda/shoulda/Boo Stern. :)

Alas, but I digress from something besides fond memories of when the home team was actually entertaining.

The Lakers are in ****ing trouble. Winning 3 in a row/holding home serve is no given. They now have to beat Boston 4 times out of 5. Without the obvious scenario of going down 0-3, Game 3 is a must-win.

Dallas could've won game 3 if Dirk made both his FT at the end. Game 4 they played a piss poor fourth quarter and Game 5 could've been won if Josh Howard made his FT's. Dallas could've taken the series easily, but Miami came through in the clutch when it was more important. Yeah, there was probably some horrible calls in the series, but it doesn't mean that the Finals were rigged. It was just poor officiating. Officals tend to be more swayed with the home crowd also.

That was sooooo scary....but we pulled it out

Now I am a Lakers fan, but i mostly just want to see a good game, the refs did not let them play tonight and the difference in free throws attempts seems very skewed in Bostons favor. I saw some of those fouls and i saw either all ball or no foul at all. The last one with Peirce that decided the game pisses me off cause i wish they would just let the teams play and instead the game was decided on a foul call.

People will say I am making excuses for the Lakers, but I am not. The played soft defense and missed important shots. But just look at the difference in free throws. a 38 to 10 edge, that seems like very bad calls to me.

No, that's called good defense from the Celtics. Leave it to Laker fans to whine about the officiating when they've received some gimmie calls as well. Where's the ridicule for Doomed Hero? Why do I get ridiculed for making claims of shady officiating, and yet, a poster can make the same exact accusations and receive no flaming?
