Reading Comprehension not a strong point? I was comparing The Cubs vs Phila. LIKE Jayson Stark, that came from his article. Then how come the team that YOU brought up... the Cubs... have a consistent fan base? Do the BUlls have anything to do with that? You don't need to win championships to be a (Enter sport) town. Philladelphia is a football town. No one gave a **** about baseball until the end of last year. You can deny that all you want... that was pretty much the case. A year and a half of decent baseball does not automatically mean the general Philly fanbase converted to baseball disciples... unless of course they are all band wagon hoppers... which they apparently are if we are going by what you or Jason Stark is saying.
Again the Cubs have a richer baseball history then The Phillies, what's so hard to understand? Over there history The Cubs have 2 World Championships, 10 Pennants, and 15 Playoff Appearances, while The Phillies have 1 World Championship, 6 Pennants, and 10 Playoff Appearances, and The Phillies have been around 10 years longer. Enough with the bandwagon ********...it's old. Like I said every team in every city will have a surge of fans if that team made the WS, it's common sense, but since you have none I can see why you don't get it. I NEVER said we were baseball disciples, I said the town is becoming more interested with The Phillies which is 100% true. There is a large group of Phillies fans that have been through the rough years, myself included. I have no problem with more people backin this team. We have an amazing core of players with Rollins, Hamels, Howard, Utley, Victorino, etc. Arguably the best The Phillies have had at each position (with the exception of Victorino).
I'm through with debating you, and I'd rather focus on the game tonight.
