He didn't cheat. Like I said, why would anyone come out with something so noticable. And Joe Maddon only told the umpires to watch what he was doing. I would have done the same thing. It IS the World Series.

I didn't see the post game, but the ESPN article I read gave off the impression Maddon thought something wasn't right.

This benefits The Rays 100% if this game gets moved till tomorrow. No Hamels anymore

Maddon did say that he thought it was pine tar. It didn't seem like he was accusing Blanton of cheating.

After the game, Maddon addressed the issue with the media. Asked if he noticed a dark spot on Blanton's cap, Maddon said: "We did notice, it was rather dark. I did bring it to their [umpires'] attention. I asked them to just watch it and be vigilant about it, and nothing happened. But I was concerned about it early on."

Sorry if I'm *****ing, but this was set up perfectly for The Phils with Hamels at home in the elimination game...I'd hate for that to get squandered.

It's not as if there was nothing to suggest he might have been cheating.

obviously there is that chance he was cheating, but as you can see in the pictures I posted his hats always looks like that even in Oakland. I doubt he's gotten away with such a obvious advantage for this long.

Is everyone else getting baseball coverage? They have the news on right now where I live.

Well, shame on Joe Maddon for not thinking of entering Joe Blanton in a Google image search:o

Unreliable Sources is on for me, it's a terrible call-in show.

I have local news. The game is postponed and will resume tomorrow.

Game likely won't be played till Weds. There calling for 50 MPH winds and the temp in the 30's tomorrow night.

Manuel would pitch him on 2 days rest?

3 Days rest, depending if MLB includes a travel day then 4 days. I'm off the belief that game 5 will finish tomorrow. Weather is supposed to be terrible tonight....lows in the 30's, 40 MPH wind and rain.

I wish they granted Philly the win if the Rays didn't tie... that way everyone would have called it a fraud championship.

Thanks for that....it was already agreed before the start of the game that it wouldn't be called.

Game 6 and 7 are the 29th and 30th. That means Hamels' rest is tomorrow and the 29th.

As my post says. I think game 5 will be played Weds. Also MLB hasn't indicated if there will be a travel day added or not.

Hamels only threw 75 pitches last night, he should have no problem going on 3 days rest. Even if he doesn't go our pitching hasn't been a problem this series.

MLB will get this game in even if it starts at 10 or 11. I HIGHLY doubt they will give a travel day. It screws over people who bought tickets for Game 6 and 7 not to mention it's only from Philly to Tampa which is probably a 3 hour plane ride.

I don't see them adding a travel day either. Bud Selig has a schedule to keep and things to screw up.

If they get the game in tonight then I will stand corrected, the forecast says otherwise though. I'm still comfortable with Myers, Moyer or Blanton who all pitched very good.

im a phillys phan but i hope they lose tonight..... it just wont feel like a championship.
