Fuld is fascinated by what the numbers tell him about the concept of clutch hitters.

"Most of the numbers out there show that there's no such thing," Fuld said. "And it's crazy to think that, because I swear I've played with guys who just tend to come through in the clutch. And others that don't.

"But that's the beauty of numbers is that our minds don't necessarily capture the whole picture accurately. Our emotions remember certain things for whatever reason, and there are certain things you don't remember. So I think that's the beauty of numbers. It's fact. There's no way around it."

I can not begin to express how great it is to not have to hear Joe Morgans voice anymore....it does make me sad that Jon Miller stepped away though, but he still does Giants games on occasion

actually, miller calls every giants game on the radio, and calls the friday home games for television.

miller is great. i prefer kruk and kuip, though.

Listen to a Chip Carey broadcast and you might reconsider that one.

miller is great. i prefer kruk and kuip, though.

Probably the best 1-2 broadcasting team out there. I haven't heard everyone but they have great chemistry and are enthusiastic without overdoing it.

I gotta agree there, I'm not saying that because I'm a mets fan, they have been voted best in the past, I believe last year by online fans second only to Vince Scully.

Most people in the HOF regardless of whether they are a player, owner, writer, announcer obviously deserved some recognition to be one of the best in their field. It would be stupid to say that Jon Miller is the worst announcer ever when he is regarded by many people to be one of the best around as evident by his HOF induction.

But seriously, you haven't lived until you've forced yourself through a Chip Carey broadcast.
