You should be asking for a rematch with the Mets :csad:

Funny, I remember being at Games 1 and 2 of the WS in '06 and seeing people walking around Detroit in Mets gear. People were just staring at them and pointing like they were lepers.

I don't think Posada isn't going to come back. Now it's going to be the Core 2.

Hip, hip Jorge. :csad:

Robin Ventura? Really?

He was one of my favorite players, but this hiring is odd, to say the least.

I don't know about this one. I think I would have been more excited if he was coming back to actually play 3B for the Sox.

As a Yanks fan (being one since '88), I'm very disappointed but not too surprised by the loss to Detroit. Both Arod and Tex, despite being some of the highest paid players in MLB, aren't really known for their clutch hits, and in the pivotal Game 5 last night, both players went cold and stranded too many runners on base. And since Yanks have too many guaranteed contracts that they can't get rid of next season, we're likely see the same team going for a title again.

Posada won't be back. Wondering if Montero will become the DH or will they try and make him the back up catcher or will they keep Martin.

Obviously, the infield and outfield won't change.

I'm pretty sure they'll try to keep Martin because he's been very good this year and everyone is still questioning if Montero can even catch that well.

Only was they'll keep Posada is if he accepts significantly reduced salary and takes a bench role, although that takes up a very important roster spot. Yanks need the DH spot open for Jeter/A-Rod. So I hope Yanks bring in an effective utility infielder.

Pitching Duel between Carp and Doc. Damn good game.

I'd be very surprised if this game ended(but pretty happy) 1-0.

St. Louis advances!!! Carpenter with a shutout.

thank the maker.....St Louis is a great baseball town and the team is solid

take that Philly fans....enjoy the suck some more....Eagles in the crapper, Phillies out in the first round, 76ers are a joke of a basketball team....

Top 9 payrolls in baseball are done. Tigers are #10, Cards #11, Rangers #13, and Brewers #17

Midnyte, if I could like your post I would.

this is like almost beating dead rising and then realizing you never saved your game.

IF. There's no guarantee they WILL. There are other interested teams with needs at 1st base. Rangers for one.
