I did not think they could top watching Peter bang Shadowcat literally through the floor. But with this months issue featuring Wolverine being turned into a 12 year old girl, they did.

I wonder if Whedon picked up the idea to do that from the beginning of X2?

Okay, near the beginning... Logan and Xavier in the Cerebro.

I don't think Nova turned Logan into a little girl. I think she turned him into a rich, proper, sissy little boy. You know, like how Logan was back when his name was James, only exaggerrated.

Ha, I get it. I doubt it. It was just a way to take out Wolverine from fighting

Those sequences of prissy Wolverine are hilarious.

"The moose has my scent again! O!" :D:D
That's Grade A stuff.

Which part from X2???

Logan walks into Cerebro with a cigar

Xavier: Your smoking in the mansion nonwithstanding if you continue to smoke that in here you'll spend the rest of your days under the belif you're a six year old girl.

Logan: You can do that?

Xaiver: I'd have Jean braid your hair.

Something like that. Still cracks me up everytime.

That's the genius of it! In a real sort of way, we might just be seeing the true Wolverine now-- the berserker rage having been built up over decades to cover for this prissy, Victorian-era rich kid.

Erm, sorta. :o

That actually makes a lot of sense given what Cassandra says at the end about the boy who thought he was a beast. (I think... will check later.)

Whichever way it is -- little boy, little girl -- it's still hilarious. :D

O man, I about died when I saw Wolverine cutting out little paper dolls! What the heck?! It was so FUNNY! I think Astonishing has some of the funniest sequences ever in a comic book. (Like when every other X-Man is trying to concentrate and Wolverine is thinking, "I really like beer" Whoo-hahaha)

That one killed me too...

And the Hawaii danger room scene, and Wolverine saying he wasn't up for anything that didn't include the word beer so someone suggested he fight Cyclops for beer and he said he'd do it.

Yeah, Beast said they could fight for beers.

Beast rules.

It was a ploy to emphasize that the ongoing fight required little of his attention.

With the resent events what do you all think will be Emma's fate? I for one hope that they don't make become a villian again or worse killer her. She has become my favorite character and the reason I got back in to the comics. I hope she sticks around since I just cont back in to them this year. What are you thoughts on her fate?

I think she'll come around... but who knows, with Cassandra behind it and all.

I see Emma taking a sabattical from the X-Men in the near future.

Maybe then, she'll finally stop leading the New X-Men kids, and they'll get an actual field leader (as opposed to an overbearing school marm)... like Cyclops, Forge, or maybe Dani will get her powers back.

School Marm?!?!?! Emma rocks, she's smart, powerful, strong, whitty, and a natural leader.

Emma seems to be a polarized character.......if you don't like her, you hate her, and vice versa.....

C'mon, Do U Guys Really Think Emma's Going Anywhere? I Think Not.

She better not. I love the character.

I like Emma, but she's an administrator, not a field commander. Being able to run a school and train a team doesn't mean she's capable of leading them in the field. On the other hand, Dani (whom certain writers didn't think would be worth keeping around after Decimation) used to be a leader of the New Mutants.
