bianchi knows the ruby of Cyclops's visor doesn't stay when he fires his beam right? that blast should be filling out the whole cavity.

You can really see where he got tired of drawing, haha.

He's good on Cyclops, and he likes Wolverine so he does some good work there. Goes over to the other side for a bit, works on Beast, details in the face and hair and goes "eh" about the hand... and then the girls, well, he figured he'd make the most of Armor's armor in that it looks like the Stay-puft Marshmallow Man and doesn't require that much work, and, well, he figured he'd stick Emma there... and then he got to Storm, and eh, he was bored. He was actually bored way before that, but you can really see it there. Yeah, that's enough.

And it looks like he just sorta scribbled Armor's armor.

I cant beleive this is the same guy who did Wolverine bc his interiors on that book were amazing

Do we know what's happening with this series after the last chapter of Ghost Boxes...?
When Joss was on board I really LOVED this book... the art was fantastic, the story was good/great, and Joss really knew how to write the characters...

So far with Ghost Boxes I find the art is getting worse and worse with each issue, and the story is so forgettable and boring, I dont even know if I read the last issue or two...

I kinda hope Astonishing either ends after this run, or at least gets a new team behind it... maybe a team that can get the issues out monthly....

It could stand a roster chance considering that most of these same people are in Uncanny anyways. Time to share the love and dust off some of them folks in limbo.

It doesn't really have a place in the current "image" of X-books.

Continuity has gone out the window with this book for a long time now. I liked it better when you at least had a feel that things going on in the X-books were all connected. Not anymore. :(

I kinda agree. I find AXM redundant and should have ended when Whedon left. The fact that it still suffers from massive delays makes it even that much more irrelevant to the overall scheme of things.

ya man it takes way to damn long for the issues to come out.....i thought they had a head start on the comic. so it wouldn't have delays

A head start of a few months, and that Ghost Boxes mini that came out for a couple of months, and it still takes Bianchi forever to draw this book.

Somebody hire the artist from the last issues of Young X-Men. I don't know what they're doing now, but I liked their style and timeliness.

With the financial situation being so dire, Marvel should be able to hire a writer who can draw and be on time as well with a reasonable paycheck.

Didn't they know?

At least Ellis's writing has been interesting.

Still, it's no Thunderbolts.

Ellis blows, Bastardo...soon you will realize this...and I will be here for you, to hold you and comfort you.

Ellis's Astonishing has been pretty fine and sober, actually. I've enjoyed it.

And his Thunderbolts run is bar-none great, simply.

I gotta say, there's nothing spectacular about Ellis' writing on this title, but there's nothing bad about it either. It's passable. And since I wasn't reading the X-Men during the late 90s, I don't have any grudges against him.

Is the coloring a bit more bright and clear than before?

Not liking Cyke's outfit. It's like someone poured him into it. He ain't wearing no undies from what I could tell. Whohoo! :p

And the weird postures again.

You know what? I think Paris Hilton struck the same pose somewhere on Mail Online.

Maybe Bianchi just doesn't like folks simply standing around while they talk. :p
