I wish Storm would stay the hell away from any title I'm reading.

Yeah, I hate her that much.

ive never been crazy about her either. i wouldn't say i hate her, but there's nothing about her that interests me.

Storm's appeal went downhill big time for me when she married the Black Panther and later joined the FF. She doesnt feel like an X-character anymore and seems more like an extended guest star. It was like she was too good for the team and she's alright in small doses but I dont care for her much long term. She grew away from the X-men and one thing that it proved was that they dont need her. I really dont feel she has a place here anymore and her inclusion kind of feels forced especially since she's no longer leader or top dog as she once was. She's a character that doesnt work well as a supporting character and follower bc she's been identified for so longer as the leader of the X-men. Taking a back seat doesnt work for her and she may be Queen of Wakanda but she no longer has power or the same clout with the X-men that she once has. Thats even more evident now that they've moved to San Francisco bc this is something new and has nothing to do with her.

Damn Havok..first u want Bishop dead and NOW you say Storm doesn't belong as an X-man anymore..wtf?? our President is black now by the way...you cool with that?

you're upset bc I dont like Bishop and lost interest in Storm? What does Obama even have to do with my current comic preferences?

its was sarcasm. but damn. lets hear you whine about some other characters already. oh wait you do. alot. but whine about, i dunno, Colossus or somebody for a change. leave the few black characters alone. and its not their fault you dont like them. its the writers

oh absolutely HATE Bishop and always have.

There are other black characters in the X-Men, like Monet and Darwin. Well, I just assume they're black. I'm fairly certain Monet used to be blacker than Storm.

i say Darwin definitely is. but i always say Monet as european (im not really familiar with her though).

Let's be real, here. Karma is currently getting more facetime than Storm in Uncanny, and Bishop hasn't acted like Bishop since before House of M. We pretty much have to turn toward Darwin and Monet for black X-characters.

Oh, and the new Cipher. for like 3 more issues, I mean.

Outcry, you don't have to be that sensitive about black characters.
There are more differences about races in the world.

Skin color has nothing to do with why I hate Storm, I hate her because she's a pretentious peacock and her fans of supersized ego.

im not sensitive about the characters. they are just character i identify with because well..I'm black too dammit. and i don't like it when the ONLY faces that are somewhat similar to mine are written poorly or have a 180 degree turn around to villainy for no reason.

Darwin and M are both black...at least M was back in generation X and Darwin was meant to be...but in PADs hands..they both are magically white..kinda like michael jackson

She used to be but then they started coloring her pretty light over in X-factor

She's definetly black. She's of Algerian descent and was raised in Africa

When do I even have anything to say about Storm? I barely talk about her. I dont hate or dislike her. Im just not interested in her anymore as I was in the past. The only black character I rag on is Bishop and thats bc he's been a mess for the past year. I'll rag on a character when I dislike them and/or they annoy me. At the present moment, no other character fits that more than Bishop and I try to keep that contained to the Cable thread bc he unforuntetly has been a big part of that title. I got nothing negative to say about Colossus bc I have no issues with him, but if I did, then I would.

FYI, I am black and I dont look at race when reading the books. I dont feel obligated to have to love Storm simply bc she's black, nor do I feel I have to defend actions that Bishop has done that I disagree with for the same reason. For me , thats a shortsighted and ignorant stance to take, so I judge and form my opinions on the characters based on their actions, their story and how much they interest me. Race isnt a deciding factor when it comes to this. Never has been and never will be. I love and support M and Prodigy, but that has nothing to do with the color of their skin.

um. calm down. and fyi..since you are black..shouldnt you be asking for Bishop to be written better instead of calling for him to be killed off, i mean, geez, talk about being short sighted and ignorant.. people dont call for wolverine to die when he goes off his rocker and kills people. they just wait for him to return to normal. same goes for bishop. as for storm..well..i do support her because she is a black character...but i dont really follow her too much to care. i do feel that she is an X-man and belongs in the x-books. other than Wolverine SHE is the face of X-men

Well, the most famous asian X-character is Jubilee, but I can't say that I can identify with her at all, or even remotely want to, and certainly don't mind her being written off.

It's not so much PAD as it is the colorists who've been screwing up Monet. I think the first colorist on X-Factor probably gave her a slightly lighter skintone because Sook and Calero rendered some really dark scenery into every panel, and they wanted her features to be seen clearly. I could forgive that, but I think every other colorist to come onboard simply thought Monet was supposed to be as light as Rictor, and we've all been pissed off ever since.

Darwin is supposed to have grey skin, though. That's part of his mutation. The new artist, Valentine DeLandro (one of the few black comic book artists I can name), is giving him the same face as J. August Richards from Angel.

i thought Jubilee was half white half chinese? no? and arent u Japanese? where did i get that notion from? and i would say the most famous Asian character(at least Asian physically) is Psylocke.

Psylocke is a white underneath the face, so I don't think of her as asian.

And no I'm not Japanese, I'm Taiwanese, or Chinese, depends.

I dont care about Bishop enough to want to see him saved. He's never been a favorite of mine. I dont need him dead but a long stint in limbo would be very welcomed.

Considering Wolverine is virtually indestructible nor would he ever really be killed off, wishing so is a moot point. For the records there are TONS that would rather not see him in their books, many of which are here and have expressed that. I feel he's beyond overexposed and Marvel really needs to cut that down big time

I have no problem with Storm as an X-men. My issue is that she no longer feels like one. The way things are, she simply doesnt work. Cyclops and Emma head the team up and she doesnt fit in with them. She's extremely out of place in SF. She's a huge character and if they are going to handle her here in such a small capacity, then they migjht as well not have her here. Keep her over in Black Panther where she is a leading star and has the power and leadership that follows her. It felt as if Marvel was trying to give her the Wolverine treatment by placing her in Black Panther, Fantastic Four and the X-books but the overexposure burnt her out. If they want to make her a viable X-character again, they need to fully do that and have her permanetly move back to the line and not showing up here and there. That also includes leaving BP. UXM and AXM are not the place for her. She needs to start up her own Xmen team. Rejoining Xavier would do her wonders and I can see her taking charge over in Legacy, not so much in the other 2 core titles

its not like PAD is correcting all these colorists though and that is the best i have seen Darwin look in..well..ever.

This is how Monet originally looked, but you wouldnt recognize her from the way they color her now
