I wish Storm would stay the hell away from any title I'm reading.
Yeah, I hate her that much.
Yeah, I hate her that much.
you're upset bc I dont like Bishop and lost interest in Storm? What does Obama even have to do with my current comic preferences?Damn Havok..first u want Bishop dead and NOW you say Storm doesn't belong as an X-man anymore..wtf?? our President is black now by the way...you cool with that?
oh absolutely HATE Bishop and always have.Damn Havok..first u want Bishop dead and NOW you say Storm doesn't belong as an X-man anymore..wtf?? our President is black now by the way...you cool with that?
i say Darwin definitely is. but i always say Monet as european (im not really familiar with her though). There are other black characters in the X-Men, like Monet and Darwin. Well, I just assume they're black. I'm fairly certain Monet used to be blacker than Storm.
She used to be but then they started coloring her pretty light over in X-factorThere are other black characters in the X-Men, like Monet and Darwin. Well, I just assume they're black. I'm fairly certain Monet used to be blacker than Storm
She's definetly black. She's of Algerian descent and was raised in Africai say Darwin definitely is. but i always say Monet as european (im not really familiar with her though
its was sarcasm. but damn. lets hear you whine about some other characters already. oh wait you do. alot. but whine about, i dunno, Colossus or somebody for a change. leave the few black characters alone. and its not their fault you dont like them. its the writers
When do I even have anything to say about Storm? I barely talk about her. I dont hate or dislike her. Im just not interested in her anymore as I was in the past. The only black character I rag on is Bishop and thats bc he's been a mess for the past year. I'll rag on a character when I dislike them and/or they annoy me. At the present moment, no other character fits that more than Bishop and I try to keep that contained to the Cable thread bc he unforuntetly has been a big part of that title. I got nothing negative to say about Colossus bc I have no issues with him, but if I did, then I would.
FYI, I am black and I dont look at race when reading the books. I dont feel obligated to have to love Storm simply bc she's black, nor do I feel I have to defend actions that Bishop has done that I disagree with for the same reason. For me , thats a shortsighted and ignorant stance to take, so I judge and form my opinions on the characters based on their actions, their story and how much they interest me. Race isnt a deciding factor when it comes to this. Never has been and never will be. I love and support M and Prodigy, but that has nothing to do with the color of their skin.
im not sensitive about the characters. they are just character i identify with because well..I'm black too dammit. and i don't like it when the ONLY faces that are somewhat similar to mine are written poorly or have a 180 degree turn around to villainy for no reason.
Darwin and M are both black...at least M was back in generation X and Darwin was meant to be...but in PADs hands..they both are magically white..kinda like michael jackson
It's not so much PAD as it is the colorists who've been screwing up Monet. I think the first colorist on X-Factor probably gave her a slightly lighter skintone because Sook and Calero rendered some really dark scenery into every panel, and they wanted her features to be seen clearly. I could forgive that, but I think every other colorist to come onboard simply thought Monet was supposed to be as light as Rictor, and we've all been pissed off ever since.Darwin and M are both black...at least M was back in generation X and Darwin was meant to be...but in PADs hands..they both are magically white..kinda like michael jackson
Well, the most famous asian X-character is Jubilee, but I can't say that I can identify with her at all, or even remotely want to, and certainly don't mind her being written off.
I dont care about Bishop enough to want to see him saved. He's never been a favorite of mine. I dont need him dead but a long stint in limbo would be very welcomed.um. calm down. and fyi..since you are black..shouldnt you be asking for Bishop to be written better instead of calling for him to be killed off, i mean, geez, talk about being short sighted and ignorant.. people dont call for wolverine to die when he goes off his rocker and kills people. they just wait for him to return to normal. same goes for bishop. as for storm..well..i do support her because she is a black character...but i dont really follow her too much to care. i do feel that she is an X-man and belongs in the x-books. other than Wolverine SHE is the face of X-men

Darwin is supposed to have grey skin, though. That's part of his mutation. The new artist, Valentine DeLandro (one of the few black comic book artists I can name), is giving him the same face as J. August Richards from Angel.
