Astonishing X-Men #17

THE STORY:
“TORN”

and Wolvie looks terrified... not something you normally see...

I like these minimalistic covers tho... the Kitty cover for #16 is great too, in a simple way!

Astonishing is going to be the the third ongoing title in X-men so I cool with that as long as the writing stays as great as it is....and that cover is not enticing at all...the cover with kitty is much better than that...I just don't know whats thats suppose to mean

Looks......simple. Intriguing, this arc has intrigued me the most with all this Emma villian stuff. I really dont have a clue of whats going to happen.

It looks like Emma is either actually crying for what she did to scott or just fake crying I dunno know...or is in fact being manipulated by a real cassandra nova...I say again a real casandra nova.. or basically its the HC takeover and emma is just acting out keep them off guard...I can't wait until tommorow to find out....

who wants to bet emma is staying with the x-men? come on there would be no "umf" without her, it would just end up like the second rate x-men titles out now, they arent very flashy, they kinda have horrid stories, gogotha anyone? what the hell was that, i say astonishing is dead without her, so im betting she says, and by x-men being the destroyer, does it mean all in general or just this title, so maybe it could be anyone

I'm sure that at the end when the Hellfire Club is about to kill everyone she will turn on them and save the xmen. That's kinda lame but you're right, she needs to be in this book.

i cant even try to think whod destroy a world? out of all of them none of them ever seemed to willing or capable to do it, this book is looking shady, i hope it blows my mind with delight in the end tho

the thing is how would she do it, how would any of them do it? if ord knew who it was dont you think he would have mentioned something, maybe its none of them, its doesnt have to be just those x-men does it? oh and did anyone ever think perfection could be emma? shes got the white gloves, i dunno im probably wrong but its just something i noticed

It has to be a xmen not one of the Astonishing Xmen. But it would be lame if it was someone else. Maybe its all of them? Who knows...

very odd, ah i cant wait til tomorrow, but i probably wont even get the comic till later, bummer anyway im kinda thinking emma is playing the hellfire club, emma knew she couldnt fight nova, so why lose her life over it, what does the hellfire have to offer her? shes been through too much to just part with it, for frikken sakes she is responsible for restoring the sentrys sanity, why would she do that? if they do this, where will here popularity go as a villan? it would be a waste, it would be throwin emma away

The Hellfire Club attacks the X-mansion! Scott is comatose. The real Beast is unleashed. Logan is brainwashed into a kid (which, of course, explains the terrified Logan on the cover), Kitty is phasing non-stop into the earth (to the Breakworld, I think. Was that Kitty in the end? Where the heck is she?) and Emma may be having second thoughts.

I loved it. Colossus versus Shaw was

Too bad he got owned, though. I look forward to the next issue. 2006-08-23 Seems so far away.
