Is 15 the only issue you read?

They say "Jean?" (as in like, she's not dead?) at the end of one issue as a cliffhanger, and but then in the next issue you see it's not Jean that they're talking about.

Well I have issue 11 (Marvel Select) Astonishing X-Men. it starts off with Xavier fighting Danger and later the X-Men come to his aid to Genosha. Then they face up against a deadly sentinel and it ends with the X-men looking up and beast says "Any thoughts?"

Issue 12 (marvel selct) Astonishing X-Men picks up where the last issue left off. They battle the sentinel; at one point Emma leaves in the middle of the battle; in the end Xavier talks with his X-Men about Danger and it ends something like this.. "But summers learn yet again to trust no one. Emma needs to work him very carefully now.""If he learns her true loyalty...""...bad.""and they were such a cute couple too.""Oh well...nothing lasts forever." then theres a picture of the hellfire gang... "Hellfire does."

and yeah...then theres #15

The TPBs aren't too expensive... and are available at Chapters... which, of course, delivers to addresses in Canada.

Pardon the incredibly ignorant question, but where is Professor X in this series? AXM 13, 14, and 15 are the only X-Men comics I've ever read, so you could say I'm pretty new. From what I have read, he was in issue 12, so he was at least present in the series.

Actually, I've been told by at least three comic store employees that I need to read issues 1-12. It's either a very good series, or they're great salesmen (or both).

I'll probably pick up the trades sometime in the future, so your short, sufficient (and spoiler-free) answer is much appreciated. I just was a little curious as to why he was absent in the first three issues of this new arc.

EDIT: Actually, I do have another question though. The guy who sold me 13 and 14 tried to help me get caught up, and he said that the Danger Room became alive (so to speak) earlier in the series, and is now called Perfection. After reading 13-15, and looking up the Perfection character on Wikipedia, I see no evidence of this whatsoever. I see that the Danger Room is no longer active, but it's now Perfection?

Is the guy an idiot, or am I the idiot?

You technically need to read the end of Grant Morrison's New X-Men run (more specifically, the Planet X arc and Here Comes Tomorrow), the House of M miniseries, and the X-Men Deadly Genesis miniseries to find out what happened to Professor X.

However, I'm not really sure how everything falls into the timeline.


Astonishing is A+ stuff though!

Yes, the Danger Room came to life. The Shi'ar components Charles made it out of were alive the whole time, and when it finally broke its programming, it went on a killing spree. It formed its own body, and is now calling itself/herself Danger.

We don't know who Perfection is. She's some cloaked figure who just showed up with the Hellfire Club.

Seriously, this book can not come out fast enough. At least it is going to become a monthly title I think starting in August. I think I'm going to go with either Cyke or Hisako to be the one who is destinend to destroy the Breakworld. I think it would be completely awesome for Whedon to devote his final arc to Cyclops, and it has sooooooo much potential. Does anyone know if another writer will take over this book?

I'm like that as well, lol.

You know you have to wait so long for like 10 pages or more of a story lol.

I brought the first volume or whatever they are called the other week as i wanted to get like the first issue and how things are like the way they are.

Hmm, looks like i'm missing out on one of the best X-Men titles that has been growing on me. So I heard Perfection's idenity is going to be revealed in issues 16 and I just got a feeling of surprisement on who it is or what it is.
