Scott McDaniel will never be as good as he was on Nightwing. that stuff was just fantastic. he's gotten less detailed since them, and while I still love it, it doesn't hold a candle to his Nightwing stuff.

and Pete Woods has been one of my favorites since his Robin run with Chuck Dixon. I've been wanting that team back on Tim's book for ages.

A lot of his earlier Nightwing stuff seemed too "busy" to me. Personally, I prefer his work on Batman and especially his run on Green Arrow. That was great artwork.

I hope to God that the entire segment was scripted because that artist's views are too weird to be true.

So the final issue of Batman:Confidential came out this week... and having read every issue of the series, I wondered if I was gonna miss it.

The answer is definitely NO... towards the end it became a misguided mess and even in the beginning it turned out ill-advised tales.

There is maybe two or three runs that I would go back and read... ironically my favourite issue was #49 (the stand-alone tale). Guess this just means more money in my pocket.

Only read the first two arcs, the first being that god-awful robot story. I actually thought that Joker origin was pretty good though. Still have those issues.

But I will miss Batman: Streets of Gotham... if only because it means the end of the Paul Dini/Dustin Nuygen team.

ive liked it but i have to be honest i cant remember what its about besides pre-Martha Wayne's (is her maiden name Kane?) connections to the mafia . once its wrapped i have to go back and read the whole thing over.
