It was definitely a flawed story, but I'm not willing to count Snyder out yet.

Also B&R was great as usual, Terminous was wonderfully disgusting and Gleason's art just keeps getting better.

Wait ...people thought uncle Leo was being serious? Bad move :hehe:

Didn't like Batman 11#, it was very.....meh

Yep i found it kind of underwhelming. The Batman vs Owlman fight wasn't as good as I hoped

The action scenes were good but Lincoln's rambling monologue of nonsense wasn't

And his reasons for hating Bruce don't make sense. He acts like he blames Bruce for being left in Willowood but then says he knows Thomas and Martha never told him he'd survived

So why's he blaming Bruce for it? He acts like Bruce intentionally wanted to get rid of him but knows that's not what happened

Wacky owl lovin' jive mutha :o

So how can batman hang on a jet engine? I've seen some unrealistic stuff in comics, but this was just bonkers.

Batman can breathe in space

Do not doubt his many astonishing powers :o

Of all the flaws in Snyder's writing I don't think Bruce doing comic booky feats was one them.

But this issue...didn't really resolve much, we still have no idea what the Court's motives or what they plan on doing or the exact details of March's end game.

I just dont care.

Lincoln was seen in a couple of panels while the whole Owls thing was going on, and then the Owls die and he's Thomas. I dont care who he is, because Snyder didnt make me care.

This story never happened. Thomas in Willowwood was just Simon Hurt.

In the end it really did feel like a bunch of contrived nothing. To his credit though Snyder is working on the theatrical and operatic book in the line. With 'tec he was more about making detective stories. This is Batman the "blockbuster" book so you go big and he did by throwing in everything from secret societies to zombie assasins and long lost brothers. I get it but I will no longer buy it. I'll trade wait the Joker story. I'm good just with Morrison's book.

Even I had to roll my eyes to the back of my head during the jet engine thing. At the same time it was tense because you can't wait to see the pay off. Sure it's also false tension cause you know Batman will survive it but it's how he gets out that really sells the thing. The problem is that here the resolution was just laughable to me. Up until that point I was actually ok with it I didn't even mind the overplayed yapping villain trope.

See, it didn't stick out at me as a case of absolutely horrible writing, well at least nothing on the level of Loeb type stuff or anything like that. It was a complete non-issue for me.

I don't understand the so-called strain on Bruce and Dick's relationship. Where exactly is that coming from. Dick is the most loyal of all of Bruce's sidekicks. Tim on the other hand, where the **** is that guy?

B&R was good and it felt like a TON happened. The Bat symbols getting blown into the skyscrapers was a little too Nolan's TDK posters to be taken seriously though. But ****, the citizens of Gotham got their asses kicked this issue.

Also, I like how Batman referred to Damian's "failure on the boat." Very Yoda and Luke's "failure in the cave."

Batman #11 was goooood

I was content with the issue as well. I understand people's complaint about the amount of talking in this issue but I thought it was fine and worked out. Yes, maybe it does leave the story totally open ended but overall I really enjoyed it. I'm excited to read all 11 issues again before we see the Joker back!

I am pretty damn excited for the Joker story.

You are soooo funny.

I know deep inside of you, you really think that way.

Hahaha i totally fell for it

When I read the issue i was all 'Whut' and wondering if there was a page missing from my copy or something

Haha, so it's a glorious joke!

He's not Hush's brother. I wont let you ruin a good issue with your silly joke.

It's not a silly joke, it's a glorious joke. Also, how can I ruin an issue with a joke? No matter what I write, the issue is still the same.

It was a good joke.

You ****s are lame.

Thank you :woot:

Wait ...people thought uncle Leo was being serious? Bad move :hehe:

yeah, I thought it was quite clear that it was just a joke. I wouldn't spoil an issue like that.

I think he'll probably be in a lot of things if people really dig TDKR.

That sounds like a good idea to me :ninja:

I'm hoping he gets a really good storyline that restores him to the interesting and three dimensional villain he used to be

He needs to be a real threat again, without being just a brute.

Batman & Robin was great.

I love that crazy little runt Damien.

Batman knows what the time is.

I'm really hoping for the battle between between Damian and Dick to be a little more emotional than the previous two. I think Damian is a little heartbroken Dick for "abandoning", we know Dick didn't but maybe that's how Damian feels, we'll see next issue.

And in regards with Batman 11, meh. I liked the Dick and Bruce moment but Owlman was just too much for me to take seriously, I mean for an "Anti-Batman" type he isn't quiet enough. Plus, I could do without Alfred's dad being murdered as well.

Didn't The Dark Knight already ruin Bane in the DCnU.

I hate how Gail Simone so gracefully set up a really compelling characterisation for Bane going into the New 52 for anyone to pick up at the end of her Secret Six run, only for The Dark Knight to merrily disregard it (and indeed, for Secret Six as a whole to be recommend into oblivion).

Oh, when it comes to Dark Knight, Paul Jenkins disregarded alot of things.

Like coherent plotting, clever writing, proper characterization...
