Is Nightwing the first character to get a fairly big suit redesign within the New 52?

****ing! Finger! Stripes! Redesign looks pretty sweet. I know a lot of NW fans who are happy with this.

Also, apparently I'm leaving Gotham. :o

Jokes aside, Dick is going to be setting up shop in a new location. Higgins has been teasing it on twitter.

Nightwings new52 redesign was one of the very few I was cool with. I think they took quite a step backwards with this re-re-design.

Now we're talking. I still don't like those two useless little blue slivers on his hips--kind of kills the sleekness of the design--but overall it looks good.

maybe they could turn every nightwing blue before i read it

I'm fine with the new design, the initial was boring in design and they've slowly been adjusting it anyway, I don't mind the red either, it gives a sense of unity between all the Robin boys all wearing red. If Jay were Wingman full time, then I think I'd like the move back to blue.

Now if only Tim and Conner can get updates.

I like the hip things. It breaks up massive chunk of black.

Just iniahes Talon #3, and i love the series. Calvin is a cool character.

Christy Marx is going to be the new writer on Birds of Prey I'm really pleased with that choice Christy Marx is neat :)

That's because you blindly love anything with a lesbian in it.

As long as their sexuality is portrayed in a positive way yes I do

As lgbt characters are the only kind of characters i even remotely care about, relate to or feel any kind of empathy toward I'll buy any comic that has well written lgbt characters in it
The first arc was great. But the second arc was **** and the current one is mediocre at best.

I think both the first and the current arcs have been fab stuff

The second arc wasn't quite as good I thought but i still really enjoyed it and liked it more than anything else DC is doing :)

Death of the Family is so far my favorite story arc from the New 52.

A thought on Batman #16

In William Golding's Lord of the Flies the titular entity was in fact a severed boar's head mounted on a stick. As it rotted flies began to collect on it. In the story (if my memory serves me correctly) the character Simon uses this "Lord of the Flies" as a locus for his growing instability. Eventually Simon would be killed by his compatriots. The boar's head was not actually alive and it's influence would not exist but for Simon. Also I believe Simon built the "Lord" himself.

The Joker's severed face is ostensibly rotting at this point. As a result flies are beginning to congregate in his presence. It seems to me that the Joker is becoming a "Lord of the Flies". It is interesting because but for Batman, the Joker would not have any influence. Batman was involved in the creation of the Joker(?) as was Simon in the creation of his "lord".

Batman punched and rode a horse.

I was a bit dismayed when Batman punched the horse. Poor horse. It don't know nothin', it's just being ridden by a *****ebag. :csad:

the silver platter has a video tape of bruce punching the horse and when his sidekicks see it they decide they will never work with him again 'the death of the family'

That would probably be the Joker's funniest scheme ever if that's how it actually ended. :D

Seriously, though, what do you think is on the platter? I'm betting on [blackout]Alfred's head[/blackout]. Not especially shocking given the foreshadowing, but it'd still be pretty damn significant.

that was what i was thinking but it seems too obvious, especially with joker's final comments

i have no idea honestly

seems like with the other tie-ins it's going to be the head or face? of someone they care about

Batman punched a horse in the face and then rode it. And that is why Batman is awesome.

This issue was by far the best in the entire arc in my opinion and I hope 17 is even better.

A force of evil far worse than the Court of Owls

That poor horse :(

It was just minding its own business, doung horse stuff and suddenly it has a face full of Bat-fist

I don't think the silver platter has
alfred's head
on it because Penguin and Two-Face are clearly shocked by its contents and I'm betting they don't know Batman is Bruce Wayne so I don't think that would have any impact on them.
