Both books have me hooked. The fact that each Bat family seems to be getting involved in some capacity makes me wish even more that Tim had his own book again.

Yep it looks like we were wrong about him being part of the Court of Owls unless thats going to be the twist during Night of the Owls

i feel like this whole court of owls thing has over stayed its welcome with me. it was a good story, but its getting unnecessarily blown up to be bigger than it needs to be which makes it start feeling hollow. making it this multi-title event just seems stupid. it feels like an editorial mandate.

Yes it's been a good story... and more power to Snyder for his creativity, but this is most definitely an editorial mandate.

Snyder is popular and DC know people will follow his story where ever it goes.

It's felt pretty natural though. Nightwing is obviously intertwined in the story. Jason happened to be in Gotham and here the call. Plus, it led to a flashback with Tim that shows that both characters have the capacity not to be dark brooding d-bags. I like it. now, I can't say that it makes a whole lot of sense for JLA to be involved, or the Birds of Prey. In fact, that scene in JLA was damn confusing. I appreciate that JLA is taking place in real time DCU now, but it's awkward that for the entirety of the JLA's existence, that no other heroes (besides MM) have even crossed their path. That said, I hope MM shows up more. That said, I'm done typing.

Eh, I think the main story that's been running through Batman doesn't seem overblown at all.

If DC wants to try and make some money by doing some pointless tie-ins, it's no skin off my back. I just won't buy them.

i thought the story has been solid up until the last issue. at that point i felt it was more than necessary and that the story has deviated into standard comic book mediocrity. the whole story with the court of owls was kinda interesting....but now its just batman fighting a bunch of dudes, which i've seen a zillion times before.

Yeah, I'm also somewhat surprised that there's no mention of any ethical issue of killing these people. Yes, their heartbeat is slow, but should that really matter. They are walking talking people. Seems like Bruce is using a loophole to his one rule here just to make it easier on himself.

Just picked up Nightwing for the first time since 52 kicked off........(only because of the Owl tie-in).

Loved the story! But please tell me how Dick will even be in the rest of the fight, at this point!!
