Yep after reading the last two issues I am so excited for the Night of the Owls story
AlsoI think I've worked out how Freeze is connected to the Owls. The woman in thecwheelchair says that all the coffins contain Talons waiting to be woken. I think Freeze has helped the Owls keep their Talons in suspended animation so rather than having to constantly find and train new ones they can have hundreds on ice that they can wake up whenever they need them
Batman #6 was such a major letdown. Too much Batgod is too much. It really loses the impact Talon and Talons had and will have, alongside the Court of Owls in general. The storytelling was fantastic with the hallucinations Batman is seeing, but still here's the flaw:
Batman has been without food, proper sleep and proper water alongside being drugged, can just beat up a Serumed up Super soldier level assassin thru a brick stone wall simply because he has willpower to do so, not to mention apparently only decides to escape once he's taken down Talon and has had his whole torso stabbed. Sigh
Red Hood #6 was awesome. Jason was naked most of the time, eat that you sexists. =p
t:Crazy huh???t:
Somehow he can muster up this kind of will.....this kind of focus.....this kind of strength (after being gutted and full of drugged water and beaten to a pulp) BUT......somehow some people had a problem with me wondering how his will power was so weak to succumb to 8 days with no food and water??
Just because he saw a photo of his great grand pappy??? As Chris Carter would say....."Come on mane!"
Wait... Did you just argue with yourself?
Comixology.Where's the best place to buy the New 52 online?
I'm gonna start reading Batman.

"Up too late, having a nightcap after a long day of writing, talking Batman w/pal and up and comer [[James Tynion IV]]. And just want to say thanks to you all for my job. I will stay in Gotham as long as you will rent me a room. And for what it's worth, I will talk out of turn & say that the stories coming up, both in Court of owls story, but the one that starts at ISSUE #13, and then the one that will start at #20, will be us swinging for the fences. No playing it safe. No small stories. Every story will be -we hope - a game changer. Really, the Court is the first in a trilogy of Bruce stories I've been thinking about for a long time, always tinkering with."
"Actually headed into the [[DC Comics]] office today to talk about the 3rd story in the trilogy of Batman/ Bruce stories I mentioned last night"
That is a cool theory. The only problem I see with it is that the Court has had Talons since like, forever. If Freeze has only been around for 5 years at most, he wouldn't be able to retroactively suspend them. But the Court could have made all of these Talons since then.

t:Man, Batman #6 was great. Bruce picking himself up and ranting about the Court of Owls being common criminals is gonna go down as one of my personal great Batman moments.![]()

Well guys to me it seems pretty obvious really. They broke his spirit in the last issue. His confidence was shot straight to hell. They had him dead to rights. Then they did the same mistake the bat rogues always make; they gloat and think they're hot **** and move in close. Instead of just killing the guy.
Then in gloating they gave him something that triggered that adrenaline spark that lies dormant (seeing his great-great-grandfather's defeated and saddened face). Which to me doesn't seem too far fetched. That was a beautiful thing to bring back and use to bring Batman back to his faculties btw.
Not just another helpless victim like the one he's sworn to protect but one that also believed in justice and happened to be his kin. They pushed way too far. That tear in Bruce's eye represented to much. It was a great moment IMO.
I'm not a professional fighter but once got jumped by 4 people on an express train. Suffice it to say halfway through my adrenaline shot up so much that 3 of them I ended up banging their heads on the train chairs and knocking out while the fourth I took down with a headlock so severe that had we not gotten seperated I'd probably had killed the cirulation to the guy's head.
All this while I had swelling eye and possibly broken nose. I felt so defeated and vulnerable at one point and then something happened and I just hulked the **** out. So again I don't know; to me it doesn't seem like a far fetched thing for Batman to overcome.
I don't care what state he may be in a master hand to hand combatant like the Batman is not someone you want to get close to if he comes to. Even the first time he faced the talon he was pretty much owning that fight. That is Batman in his element. Nothing comes more naturally for him outside of that except masterful deduction skills.
Oh and Drz it was not "brick stone" it was marble. There is a difference![]()

Never should have broken his spirit to begin with. He can't muster up that kind of will power because he hadn't had a cheese burger in 8 days versus being nearly disemboweled??? Come on?? Never should gotten this far to "overcome", per se.
Now I'm lovin' the comeback back! But my eyes are rollin', readin' this! LOL![]()
Solid theory there Mysti. Good detecting![]()
