it's a match made in heaven

I dug her artwork too

The artist who's handling three issues before JH Williams III takes over the artwork again is really neat though

He did Gates of Gotham which was very good :)

Steven Seagal could be Batman. If Batman were overweight and wore a pony tail.

But could Batman be Steven Seagal :ninja:

Tony Daniels work is so terrible it somehow becomes wonderful as well

It's kind of a shame, because his art genuinely looks to have gotten fairly good. :csad:

we can't wait for hurwitz

we will be buying 10 (ten) copies

I felt it was always good, very Jim Lee inspired yeah, but the fight scenes and characters seemed fine. However when he went to try that rough-brushy style and drew Gorilla-Superman and stuff, that was kinda over the top, but he had a cool dirty Lee-Meets-Miller style.

Cover for Dark Knight #10, this is the start of Hurwitz's run and i'll be checking it out. Scarecrow will appear in Detective Comics #8, but god i was really disappointed by #7, like really. Daniel promised on his blog (now deleted) this arc would have more detective work than the 1st arc, but it had no detective work, just flat out random things said by Batman while the reader couldn't get a single clue to figure this by one-self.

Oh I liked his old style from RIP and the Black Glove ,which look great and his Joker is probably the best modern version I've seen. But it seemed that during the later half of his run on Batman and his last arc with Morrison that his art looked..I don't know? Rushed? Where as now his new Miller inspired style seems better than he's ever been and probably one of the best from the new 52.

I think having to write as well as draw is what zapped Daniel of his quality.

On a slightly related note, David Finch's art has done nothing but improve since coming over to DC. His New Avengers work looks like **** compared to The Dark Knight.

I really can't wait until the writing is as good as the art.

Um, no. Because Hurwitz is a damn good writer.

Oh no, definitely not. Even he's given up on that. :o

Haha, at least he's not as stubborn as Neal Adams :whatever:

David Finch has come out saying that he is not a writer. He was curious about it, gave it a try, and he has no regrets because he at least tried, but in the end, he realized that he just doesn't have what it takes to be a writer. He even brought Hurwitz on board so that the book could be more than just a showcase for his art, but a high quality book.

Say what you may about his artistic or writing skills, you gotta respect the man for flat out admitting that and actually working on trying to improve the book.

I totally respect his honesty. That's why I said he wasn't as stubborn as Neal Adams.

Y'know, I think I've seen hippie_hunter make that exact same post 6 times now. :o

Speaking of Neal Adams I eagerly look forward to the next issue of the utterly insane Batman: Odyssey

This series is the funniest most ridiculously fab series dc has ever made. Each issue just comes closer and closer to total insanity

It's a bat-epic of epicness

I hope we get more of Batman riding a dinosaur in the new issue :atp:

Pfft, that would be lame.

The next issue should feature the dinosaur riding Batman. :o

New issue of Batwoman out this week :atp:

Oh my gosh it looks so good and so spooky  and we're going to get to see Maggie Sawyer kicking ass against Killer Croc

This looks like its going to be the absolute best comic book of the month again :hrt:
