I think Cap is the pinnacle of human perfection so I can seem them finding a balance between bulk and athleticism. Day he was cast there was a couple of pics of him looking totally ripped, I think if he added a little more pounds to that look he'd be golden.

Well, it's got to be a different formular that they used in TIH. I see no other explanation why they wouldn't have created more Super soldiers. Unless they kept it in storage all this time, because they know they can't reproduce it, if they use it all up.

or Rogers was the only one that didnt have adverse effects...see my theory above

That's exactly what I'm saying.

Chris Evans is already where most of these guys would have to work out for 3 months to be. Give him 3 months of solid weight training and he'll be WWE big.

He's really the closest thing to a perfect choice there was...some people have him beat in acting, or the look, but I think he scores a solid B+ for both. The only problem I still have is him being the Human Torch; but I have a year to shake it.

My faith in this movie has been renewed a bit. I think as long as Johnston brings his a-game, this movie will rock.

There is no need for him to be WWE big...from what we seen the SSS doesnt make you bulkier

Well the WWE has different levels of physique in their company. Evans reminds me of a Cody Rhodes type..... he's 6'1 223lbs ..... Evans is 6' 180 lbs.

There's only so big a frame they have can get. But they can fill the frame they have up. I want the dude to really fill out his suit.

Man, I don't care how he becomes Cap. I really don't. I just don't want Pepper Potts to kill him in the end.

That would mean though, that he wasn't the only person to receive the serum. How else would we know if he's the only one without adverse effects, if there weren't multiple subjects to receive the super soldier serum treatment?

which would fit in with the Truth....

again look at the movie...a rampaging hulk with the SSS, Tony comes and tells him "I hate to say I told you so..." There has to be a reason why Tony told the General not to use the serum

With the body thing .... I just don't want them pulling one of those Snake Plissken or William Wallace type of deals where everyone's like "I always imagined you'd be bigger".

So we'd have several, crazy, out of control, Soldiers with anger issues in the movie and Rogers will be the only one not effected?

or maybe the died having not survived the process...
or they went crazy and had to be put down

..at the scene where they gave Blonsky the serum it seemed they were taking precautions...they gave him a low dose....General is ready to pull him after an side effects

Ahhhh so technically in terms of body size, we still don't know the serums full capabilities ..... at least as far as what it did for Blonsky because it was a low dose.

true but I have a hard time believing they are gonna get Evans huge

Dude the man already has a ripped out body and do u see what actors are capable of doing these days with the performance enhancers and diets they get put on. I bet hell be pretty ****ing big. The thing is size doesnt mean as much as type of muscle. A chimpanzee is smaller than a normal man but five times as strong. I always figured the sss would give its user incredibly high levels of fast twitch muscle.

im not saying it not possible...im saying i dont think they are going to have him get WWE big

i think Evans build is fine for what they are doing with Cap

Maybe they are afraid of the steroid backlash if you suddenly have a mini-Hulk out after taking the SSS. Just say it ups the vessels and myosin fibers in action without promoting muscle tissue growth. You don't what kids taking that **** to become superheroes as well as athletes.
Or maybe they'll do it a little different (and more sci-fi), and say it makes everything stronger - the bones, tissue, blood vessels, muscles...all the way down to the cellular level. And then it would still be up to Steve to get into shape with it. Or not. But that would be different enough from steroids, no?

Agree, I wonder the opposite.

I wonder how they're going to pull off the pre-serum Steve Rogers? Are they going to use baggy clothes or go the Peter Parker/Tobey Maguire route and CG him a scrawny bod?

You guys are forgetting an important part of Operation Rebirth. The serum was only the first part. The second component was exposure to the vita-rays after introducing the serum. The exact composition of the vita-rays and the amount of exposure to them is the information that was lost when Reinstein/Erskine was killed.

No vita-rays, no super soldier.
