The idea is that Cable wasn't really Cable at the time. Form fits the content. He had lost his powers there, and was on the outs with most everyone other than his inner circle and Deadpool. The outfit helped to show that.

I liked Cable's outfit during "The Burnt Offering," personally, especially when he was waging against Silver Surfer. But that might be because it was being drawn by Zircher at the time, and seriously, Zircher rocks.

oh ok. i remember seeing him in Civil War wearing this and i thought "is that cable? that can't be cable? whats he wearing?"

i normally dont like that outfit, but that is probably the best ive seen cannonball in it. looks like it really depends on the artist to make or break a costume. like this picture:

personally this is my favorite suit for cannonball, just not a good artist.

Yeah I don't like this either, I like the hair cut though but my favorite was his Kia costume, the purple one.

That's the Cable outfit I mentioned above, as drawn by Zircher. The cover of "The Burnt Offering" part 4, actually. It was this really neat battle armor thing, and looks way cool.

Adam Pollina drew it. I liked it at first but looking back now , it seems way too generic and plain and doesnt really stand out. And Im really not feeling any costumes which have the characters wearing their underwear on the outside
