Man that looks great.

I cant believe how awesome Daredevil has been this past decade at Marvel. He's officially replaced Spiderman as my favorite comic hero. My only wish is that they give DD some new adversaries because i'm kinda tired of seeing Kingpin and Bulleseye stories. Brubaker did a great job with Mr. Fear, hopefully Diggle can bring some new blood to the table.

Same here:daredevil>:spidey:

I totally agree, but fans will never be as passionate with DD as they are with SM. DD has been the most creative book since the launch of Marvel Knights. Add in the Miller and Nocenti runs and you can make the argument that he's had been one of the best written characters consistently for the past 30 years.

I like DD way better than Spider-Man. DD is a book that goes places. SM will always be the same. Unless they retcon something.

My only fear with DD is that marvel's put him in such a tight spot ever since his id went public. Yeah, i know, 'officially' DD has been cleared, but pretty much everyone knows that DD is matt murdock and all his enemies are exploiting it. I hope marvel didnt put him in a creative corner by doing this. It didnt work well for Spiderman.

Spidey wasn't in a creative corner. They just used his ID as an excuse to get rid of the marriage.

What If? Dare Devil Preview

Daredevil. Elektra. Once upon a time they were star-crossed lovers, but then fate took a tragic twist leading them down wildly separate paths. He became Hell's Kitchen's blind seeker of justice while she became a servant to the Hand and their deadliest ninja assassin. But What If...events occurred differently? What If DD was inducted into their evil order in her place? WHAT IF DAREDEVIL DIED AND WAS RESURRECTED BY THE HAND? If that question provides you a gnat's whisker of intrigue, then you definitely won't want to miss this What If special based on the seminal early 80s Daredevil run by Frank Miller and Klaus Janson! By Karl Bollers (WOLVERINE: HUNGER) and Rafael Kayanan (Conan The Barbarian). Plus a “SAY WHAT?” comedy strip by Mike Gallagher (Mad Magazine) and Dave Manak (Spy Vs. Spy).

So I thought #503 was Diggle's best issue yet. Not convinced the cops were offed by The Hand, though, especially after DD's reaction to the ninja at the end. I'm also really anticipating the confrontation brewing between Daredevil, Kingpin, and Osborn, given Fisk's current machinations. And I'm also glad Dakota seems to still have a part to play in Diggle's run. I'm hoping to see her relationship with Matt built upon, personally.

The What If? was also entertaining, although the end was sort of abrupt. Never been too much of a fan of this series, but it was a fun little diversion for $4, and the back-up strips were an unexpected, if not pleasant surprise. Also nice to see so many characters important to the DD mythos addressed, regardless of however briefly.

Anyway, back to the monthly, I'm liking where Diggle is taking Daredevil, myself. Feels a bit less noirish than his two predecessors so far, and as someone who's a fan of Kesel and Kelly's runs on the title, it's a welcome shift in tone from me.

Yeah, #503 was great, but I was turned off by Checheto's fill in scenes. Too bad he's doing 3 issues in the future.

Does anybody know why Ceccheto is replacing De la Torre??

Man, I'm bummed that Ceccheto is taking over for Torre. At least it's only three issues...

Does anybody know why Ceccheto is replacing De la Torre??

Couple of theories, but no one knows for sure. Diggle's admitted to be running behind on the title, so I've proposed elsewhere that Checchetto might be a faster artist than De la Torre, and thereby able to turn the pages in on time for #505-507 despite getting the scripts late.

Another theory I've seen floated around is that De la Torre is working on the next arc to try and get ahead of the game. Although, if Diggle is running late, I don't know how De la Torre would be able to turn the art in early. Unless Diggle has since managed to catch up with "The Left Hand Path" arc, of course.

I just hope he's not off the title for good. I actually like Checchetto's art, but I like De la Torre's more.

Nothing, he just got off of Thunderbolts, unless there's something secret we don't know about...

Thats a beatiful cover. Shame Daredevil isn't doing anything in Siege. =/ It makes me feel "the list - Daredevil" was nothing more than a sales attempt where DD just got forced to Dark Reign for 1 issue and then moved on to this Hand control story again, not DD taking these Ninjas againts Norman.

Yeah I was considering picking up DD because I was under the impression that he would begin to have a larger role in the MU. Doesn't look that way so far.
