Official Excalibur and/or Captain Britain movie discussion thread

I think Marvel should consider Captain Britain, Mi3 and Excalibur.

A mix of super heroes, supernatural Arthurian legends, with a bit of James Bond style espionage.

What better way to keep things fresh than to start a franchise on a different country.

I'd prefer a movie, but a big budget stream show would be welcome too.

Costume-wise I'd like to see it all play out just like in the comics - original red costume [designed by Trimpe?] followed by a translation of the costume he got directly after that, as designed by Davis.
Truth be told, I've never really liked any of the costumes he's been given after that and the one Ultimate CB got was probably the closest cinematic translation of that 2nd costume that I could hope for (and they got rid of the thigh-length boots that I know some fans never cared for, although I've never had a problem with them).

Whilst I'd love to see the first picture's costume, I think it may prove impractical to bring to screen and we'll get something close to the third pic. Either way, I just want this character brought to screen my favourite Marvel character after Spider-Man and Daredevil.

...and I'll say it again till I'm heard by the casting directors, get Dan Stevens as quick as you like.

Totally, I think I'd spotaniously combust if there was a Captain Britain movie/tv announcement. Dan Stevens, Tom Hopper, Sam Heughan - Hell, I dont mind - lets just get it made as it could be.awesome!!!!

Two things, sorry CB is my fave Marvel character, ahead of SM and DD, and as far as a director goes, get Mathew Vaughn in as quick as you like.

I fully expect one of the surprise Phase 4 movies for Feige to announce at SDCC this year to be either Captain Britain or Black Knight.

I'm not on Twitter, but if I was I'd tweet Kevin Feige a CB pic or something with a 'Phase 4?' tagline.

Given the level of popularity of the MCU in the UK and the US's love of the UK by it's people, it makes sense for Feige to 'tap' into it with CB integrated into the MCU, particularly with
the losses suffered in EG.

Yeah plus the mcu needs it’s own ministry of silly walks
