But we don't make the rules. And we certainly didn't support Thread Manager. We fought it. Like I said, we only enforce the laws, and if we're lucky, we occasionally get to influence it. But the biggest of all bosses was adamant on Thread Manager. And most have come to adapt to it. Regardless, there is no blame to be put on the staff. Think about it.

Since the movie is coming out this weekend not much left to speculate about t:

No, that's why most were talking about the future of the franchise. And while it should be a bright topic, it got quite muddy.

Instead of X4, I think they should just make an X-Men First Class sequel set in the 90's. That way you could have a Professor X, young Cyclops, young Jean, young Storm, Beast (before he accepts a job at Secretary of Mutant Affairs) and tons of new mutants (I would personally like Psylocke). It would be much more simpler than having to continue with Bret Ratner's mess that wasn't going to go anywhere.

So, I'm thinking if we get a film with them as teenagers, it will probably take place around the early seventies, obscuring the "not too distant" time frame of Singer's films even more and the ages of the X-Men in those respective films.

^^ While that could work, I'd rather have a sequel to X4 somewhere down the line. If I love this film, I'll be all for a sequel to First Class, but I do want to see an X4.

Just saying, my X-4 would have been awesome.
I had new characters introduced for a reason, not just so they could be in the movie to only appease fans, they'd be part of the story.
While I would have made the Cure look temporary, it would actually lead up to being the Legacy Virus in my new trilogy. Cyclops' body would have been found by Alpha Flight, and Pyro would be leading a new Brotherhood with a big finale at the White House with a Sentinel prototype.

I wouldn't try to bring Jean back, Xavier would be an after credits scene at most for me.

Meh, I odn't understand the love Mr Sinister gets. I remember when Kevin Bacon was cast for an undisclosed role, everyone was saying it was Mr Sinister, which honestly didn't make sense to me for a preboot.
