Guardians of the Galaxy **OFFICIAL** GOTG Vol. 2 SPOILERS Thread

I agree Yondu was one of the best in this film I loved the relationship between him and peter you can tell from the first that he definitely had a soft spot for him otherwise he would have killed him long ago. It's just a shame that Quill never got to tell him that he loved him at the end so dramatic but there was some funny parts with them both

I hope they can bring him back some how for infinity wars as he is credited in the cast

Yes they are in the scene with Stan Lee. I don't know if they are owned by Fox, maybe its tricky thing. I don't see Watchers being tied to F4 rights they are involved with many other characters.

I think it was a ScreenJunkies video earlier this week that said Fox own the rights to Uatu but the rights to the Watchers still belong to Marvel.

Seeing the Watchers almost gets me hyped up for Infinity War.

I was wondering how Stan Lee would cameo in the film. Gladly, I wasn't disappointed.

Who do you think should be cast as Adam Warlock?

Some ******** spoiled [BLACKOUT]Yondu's death[/BLACKOUT] in a YouTube comment a few days ago on a non-GOTG related video. It sucked, but at least the villain reveal wasn't spoiled for me. I didn't see that coming at first.

That Zune joke killed me, by the way. I can't wait to see Stark tear Quill a new one for carrying that around in IW.

Hopefully it's Peter Parker who makes fun of the Zune :funny:

Just wondering did we forgive yondu too easily in the film? He did kidknapp lots of children and took them to be murdered for money.

I think they covered that in the film Ego stated that yes Yundo did deliver them for a profit howvever Ego swore he would not hurt them whether that is true I am not sure. He kept peter because he took a shine to him that and the fact that he knew in the end whay Ego was up to in my opinion I think yundo has done some pretty bad things but he makes up for that in the end

I loved that both Quill and Yondu knew the real reason why he was kept was because he small and could steal stuff.

Adding that extra element, that Yondu ended up finding out what Ego was actually doing and stopped working for him, was a nice touch.

Now that I think of it, it was quite a good send off for Rooker. He got to star in one more film with Sly Stallone and Kurt Russell. It shows how much love Gunn has for him.

And I'm surprised now one talked about this but...

Was that CG Michael Clarke Duncan at that end credits with Sly?

Or did Disney find a way to cure death, through Chuck Norris somehow?

It wasn't MCD, it was what's his name from Mission Impossible. Ving Rhames

I want to buy a Zune.

I hope they bring back Stallone and give him a bigger park in Vol. 3

There were many powerful shots in the movie, Yondu holding Quill while freezing to death in space was some amazing and touching stuff.

Yeah, and the way he was holding Peter's face and gently patting it like he was saying, "It's okay. I'm okay with this."

Was a very moving scene.

Did Peter's helmet break off in the final battle with Ego and I miss it? If not why couldn't Peter just use his helmet to breath in space instead of Yondu giving up his spacesuit?

That is why I go dark near any MCU movie release. I already never read reviews, but I wouldn't go near any comment section. Some people are just ***** like that even on non MCU related boards. Sorry that part got spoiled for you.

It did break, he was knocked down on the ground you see it broken in half. I hope he gets a new one I love that mask.

We now have Cap with no Shield(with Stark).
Thor no hammer.
Star-Lord no helmet.

Since you saw him lose his celestial powers once Ego died, I think the implication was that he couldn't survive in space without a shield anymore. In the past, all he needed was the mask, but now that he's 100% human, the vacuum of space would still be lethal.

The Thing no pants.

That's the best I could come up with

Very well said

Quick question when yundo is sacrificing himself to save peter he says he may have been your father boy but he sure wasn't your daddy but what does he say before he puts the space suit on Quill it came out all muffled.
Very emotional scene I was welling up when he died and when peter said sometimes that person you have been searching for your whole life is right there by your side all along and you don't even know it 😭

It broke off when he was fighting with Ego in the final battle. I'm sure he would have been able to survive in space if he had the mask still.

I don't know how it is in the comics but in this movie they made the helmet nothing special. I thought the tech behind it was unique until I saw everyone use a similar device to create a jetpack or a space suit.

At one point I swear I saw Rocket spraying on a new part of the ship.

wtf?
